It's been 15 years since my last trip to Tenerife and the comments below are based on international five star hotel experiences around the globe. So here's what I experienced on this reservation:- Positives 1.Check in / out process fast and professional. 2.Direct beach access via the pool area. 3.Breakfast buffet with internal and external seating choices was excellent. 4.Evening entertainment between 21:00 and 23:00 Hrs was good. Negatives 1. Allocated R3101 upon arrival and entered to find the bath tub was extremely dirty and required solvent cleaning to remove large accumulation of water scale dirt around plug area (Approx 200mm in dia). Root cause of this problem is a leakage from the shower hose connection which remains to be fixed. 2. TV was on and could not be turned off. This was rectified by Maintenace changing the batteries within the remote control. 3. Sink plunger mechanism was broken and I was shown how to remove the plug on a daily basis once housekeeping cleaned the room. 4. Locking mechanism on the balcony sliding door is broken and extremely hard to open / closed. 5. Only one, yes one pool towel provided / guest at the pool via a plastic card that you are required to exchange at the pool towel bar. If you forget this card it's a return trip to the room. General Travel Tips. 1. Taxi from TFS Airport to hotel cost 25 Euro each way. 2. Hard Rock Cafe located next door (£££). 3. Great Italian, Thai, Japanese and British restaurants located on the second floor off the shopping complex across the road from the hotel (££££)

Short 3 night stay. Excellent location and hotel facilities. Staff very attentive and friendly with a special mention for Jenya.

The best thing about the hotel is its location and staff, always ready to help. And of course the breakfasts are great. The beach is municipal in 1 minute walk, every morning they part. Sun loungers 6 euros one, from umbrellas of use zero, if only to hang a bag. The hotel itself is not even 4 stars. Maybe 20 years ago and was 5, but not now. But the good news is that in January 2023 it will be closed for renovations, we can hope to return to the renovated hotel.

We stayed for a week in October and had a lovely time. The quality of the refurbishment here is great and it is far superior to any of the other hotels we’ve stayed at this side of Tenerife. The staff from the start were so friendly and welcoming, always happy to have a chat and have brilliant, efficient service. We stayed in a suite with our toddler and ended up turning the sofa bed back into a sofa as the bed in the main bedroom was enormous so we all just stayed together and enjoyed the extra space in the living area. The bedroom was immaculate and the facilities inside the rooms were of high standard. The only negative in the room was the shower did flood the floors of the bathroom due to being open so we mostly used our bath. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard and the cleaning staff when crossing paths were very friendly. The pool is lovely, a great size but it is a shame that children can’t have any inflatables or balls in the main pool. This meant that lots of older children swarmed the tiny toddler pool and made it unusable at times for young children. The splash park was great, our daughter really enjoyed this and it was always nice and quiet in there. We got up on our first morning and were disappointed to see that there were people all laying towels and reserving beds in the dark at 6.30am. We went down to breakfast at 7am and by the time we left the majority of the sunbeds in the areas that get the sun all day were reserved. We ended up having to go to the pool after breakfast at 7.30 and sitting there every day to get some good beds for us to be near the pool for our child. The first 4 days, nothing was done about people reserving sunbeds so early, but by day 5 the man working at the pool started to remove everyone’s towels from beds and told people they cannot reserve until 9am unless they are staying on the beds. This should be more obvious to people, there is nothing stating this anywhere but it would make it much better for everyone if there wasn’t sunbed wars at 6.30am. We only did bed and breakfast but the breakfast is quite disappointing for a 5 star hotel. The variety was poor, the food that was available was of poor quality and by day 3 we ended up going for breakfast outside of the hotel. We did take a look at lunch one day and this looked just as poor so we didn’t bother. If we had gone half board or all inclusive we would have been very disappointed. The evening entertainment on the terrace was unnecessarily loud. You couldn’t hear each other and then when we took our young child back to go to bed, it kept us all awake until 11.30pm every night because it was so excessively loud even in our room. It doesn’t need to be this loud to be enjoyable. It would be nice to be able to hear people and have conversations at the bar of an evening. The kids club was fantastic, staff were all amazing at their jobs and the facilities here were better than most resorts we’ve been to. That being said, we had a l

First time staying here and was recommended by my partners son who had stayed here before. The hotel has been renovated to a superb standard. All the staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble. We just stayed Bed@Breakfast as that's all we needed. Great selection at breakfast, every food source known to man. Room was lovely, loads of space to store and hang ur clothes, shower was excellent. It was our first time visiting Tenerife but we will be back and staying here again

We've been to the Mediterranean Palace for many years so was eager to see how it had improved after the renovation. We arrived at midday and a room was available straight away, floor 2 central location overlooking the pool & sea, room 2051. The room was lovely, safe, fridge & kettle, tea and coffee provided. Plenty of storage. Bathroom was amazing with a walk in rain shower. The room did overlook the outdoor evening entertainment which was loud , this didn't bother us as we went out every night and had finished by the time we returned. Pool area was busy but plenty of sun loungers, not sure why people need to put towels out at 7am in the dark however we did sit round the pool at the Cleopatra as it was less busy. Ate at both snack bars on site, value for money but limited choice just for lunch, ended up walking into the shopping centre for a freshly made baguette, as the on site shop didn't offer any. Plenty of choice for breakfast & evening meal, however they didn't serve many vegetables on an evening but plenty of carrots and peas available at breakfast . Communal areas were lovely and good to see people sitting around & using them, Sports bar doesn't open until November but it looked lovely. All staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Overall glad I returned and would holiday here again.

We’re here until 4th October. I’m mystified about the poor reviews. This is a smart modern, clean hotel. Well appointed bedrooms with VERY comfortable beds, lovely big pool and an excellent location on the Golden Mile. We’ve stayed at other 5 star hotels in Costa Adeje & I think this compares favourably.

Had a lovely time in Tenerife This hotel is fantastic and spotless Wonderful location everything is on your doorstep Fantastic pool area no problem getting a sun bed, free towels I'm sorry to say the one thing that lets this hotel down is the standard of food that is available it's simply not up to the standard of food that you would expect from a 5 star hotel so bad in fact that out of our 10 night stay we only ate twice in the restaurant at night and my wife only went for breakfast on one occasion I myself went for breakfast and the only thing that was palatable was the omelette, served by a very friendly young lady called Alejandro Attoro, The hotel did offer use the use of a courtesy room after we checked out as we had a late flight home for which we were greatful,so to summarise Great Hotel Great Location Great Poolside area Terrible food Yes I would recommend this hotel but only on a bed and breakfast ,as there are plenty of restaurants and fast food shops close at hand Finally if you have children and are looking for juice and other bits and pieces I would recommend using the shops set back up from the main ***** as you will find it about a third cheaper ENJOY LIFE IT'S TOO SHORT
