Villa Mandi Golf Resort

I have just returned from Villa Mandi after a 5 day trip to Tenerife for my sisters hen. The hotel was clean and welcoming. The pool area was clean. I can’t fault the hotel itself. We went self catering and I think this shouldn’t be an option the same as bed and breakfast. There are no local restaurants. Everything is a taxi ride away. The supermarket on site is expensive and closes at 6pm. When we arrived we had to walk 10 minutes to the next supermarket which was all downhill so could only grab the necessities. The taxi to the centre of Las Americas is €7–8. We did stay in one night and thought we would have a drink at the bar. It was €21 for a vodka, Bacardi and 2 cans of Pepsi. One of the other girls was charged €18 for a jack Daniels and coke so the drinks pricing is very high. Especially in comparison to what we paid when we went into the town. The dispensed coke is absolutely vile!!! I think as it is a hotel itself with absolutely nothing round it then that’s why they can charge this sort of pricing but we all ended up having 1 drink and going to our rooms. If you are looking for a nice all inclusive hotel where you can lay by the pool all day and not leave very often then this is certainly the one for you. There is a shuttle bus to Siam water park. It leaves at 10.30am and returns at 4.30pm. It is just a shuttle for Villa Mandi so it is a fast transfer. Highly recommend if it’s included in your stay. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. One of our rooms was a free upgrade and had 2 floors. One of the floors had a jacuzzi bath which was lovely. I stayed in room 237 which was right next to the children’s play area and also another adult pool that was away from the hustle and bustle of the entertainment. Checkout is at 12 and they have somewhere to store luggage if need be

We booked this hotel hesitantly due to some bad reviews about cleanliness, however once we got there our room was spacious and seemed clean but we were self-catering so wouldn’t be spending a lot of time in our room. If you are a couple or friends on holiday I wouldn’t recommend going all inclusive as there doesn’t seem much to do at the hotel as they have two small pools which can get crowded easily. We had an issue on our 5/6th day where our safe (which had been working perfectly all week) randomly blocked and locked itself and when we went to the reception to ask them to unlock it they told us (quite bluntly) that we should have come earlier and nobody could fix it til the following day. I understand we could have reported the issue sooner however some politeness with their response would have been appreciated. There is a supermarket connected to the hotel which is extremely overpriced you are better off taking a 15 minute walk to the local supermarket instead. Finally, my biggest issue with this hotel. On the last night we were packing our stuff when we noticed a large what seemed to be stain of blood on our bed sheet. We are certain this was not either of us and I was appalled and it was clear the cleaners had put a stained/dirty sheet on our bed. I was outraged and called the reception to explain but they didn’t really seem to understand the issue due to a lack of English but we were given a new bed sheet. Overall I’d rate this hotel 3/5. Fine if you’re self-catered and going to be out a lot in the day but not the best for staying in all day in terms of cleanliness and activities.

Worst place I have ever stayed! Cockroaches in the bed and in the rooms all over the fruit in the restaurant the staff are rude, the older lady in the shop onsite decided to push my 6 year old daughter out of the way and hurt her neck. The rooms stink so bad and the food is rank, wouldn’t waste your time or money coming here at all.

The best man in the world...is the bartender Luis Enrique from Villa Mandi Hotel in Tenerife!!! We love him!!!!!!!!!! Nothing was too much trouble !! He looked after me and my daughter, the Sam's family, ben and his family and leandra and the kids throughout our holiday,

This is my second time at the hotel its lovely and comfy and quiet out of the way but also close enough to walk to the beach and down town!! 3 lovely pools and a disco and live entertainment each night fab for me with a young child as we didn't have to leave the resort The entertainment team where very friendly and helpful including everyone in all games and activities I found the hotel staff very rude and unhelpful Aslo we didn't go all inclusive and trying to get food in the day was hard work they just didn't want to cook for us But i really enjoyed the holiday and would definitely come back to villa mandi

Disgusting food dryer then a nuns who har. Not allowed wear crop tops in restaurant have to be long sleeves. Covering with towel isn't acceptable either. (all I had was crop tops and bikini tops) went all inclusive and wasn't allowed in restaurant daughter wasn't allowed bring me food. This was 5 days into my trip until 1 individual waitress didn't like it then wouldn't allow me in. And closes town was half hour walk. I can't walk that as disabled. No shuttle bus at half 8pm. So the left me unable to eat as next door super market was also closed nothing else around. So I had to go bed Hungry. Then I wasn't allowed breakfast even though I paid all-inclusive. And then shop was closed on Thursdays so had to go without food ALL day apart from crips which daughter could bring outside. Wasn't allowed tea either. So only eaten 3 packet crips all day Thursday then refused entry again Friday so had wait until bus shuttle bus to airport to be able eat since 8:00am Wednesday morning. So cause 1 person out of 6 said they don't like what I'm wearing they refused me and refused to even see the proof that it was in fact a crop top I was wearing and not a bikini like they accusing me of. Refused point blank and turned head when I tried to show them. But wearing a total see through beach dress literally made netting so see through as you can get with bright lilac bikini on is perfectly ok no problem. Balcony doors screwed shut so doors can't open (fire escape risk) refused move us to a safer room. Beds rock hard pillows are very narrow early fit your head on them. Shower floods entire bathroom and out Into main area. Slip hazard! No ciders on the all inclusive drinks not even 1. And daughter only drinks cider so she had remain on cheap cola and lemonade which she didn't like but only drinkable thing there.

We have just come home from our stay at the Villa Mandi. Brilliant hotel, clean rooms are great lovely balcony area. Food was nice although a bit repetitive at breakfast Pool was great for the children and the staff were always helpful. The entertainment for the children were great and always got them involved especially with the entertainment around the pool. The only downside is that it's quite far out which is great if you enjoy walking but a bit fair for the children so we had to catch taxis. Overall a great stay and would go back.

Fantastic stay. Lovely clean apartments and relaxing pool. Entertainment - just right for kids and adults. Particularly enjoyed yoga/ pilates every morning with the lovely Svetlana. Friendly, helpful staff overall. Would definitely return.
