We enjoyed our stay , was a half board 6 day visit. Stayed in room 423 overlooking the pool . Hotel was a typical Spanish 3/4 star, food was ok but not great. Evening entertainment was low budget , but popular with the multi national guests. Our room had a good view of the pool, bathroom was a little dated. Beds were quite firm, but for what we paid , it was what we expected. Pool area has a large number of sunbeds, and plenty to go around, but it didnt stop the bed hoggers getting up at daft o clock to reserve beds . The spa has a nice indoor pool with jets, the gym was a little dated but functional. Staff in the hotel are friendly, and it’s a cashless hotel where everything goes on the room to settle the bill on departure. The hotel is clean, and quite modern in areas. We probably wouldn’t stay again, as the food was a little bland after 6 days, but for a 6 day deal in December it was very passable!

We visit las Americas a few times a year and have stayed in the Tenerife Sol, and La siesta, sister hotel to the Gala. Have loved them all. The Gala best bits, location very good, 10 mins walk to main area, 2 mins to beach. Also walkable to Siam park. Yes it is close to Veronica’s ***** but you can avoid passing that at night going out to the left if you prefer. We never heard any noise from our room, we were in the pool view rooms looking across to the Troya with a side seaview. Lovely big balcony, sun going down over it in evening. Pool area excellent for sunshine, plenty of loungers, we loved the way it was set out. Very good entertainment overall, like the way it was set out. Room lovely, we upgraded before hand to get the pool/seaview ones, worth it. Food was really good , I would prefer more salad and fruit options but I never went hungry. We never got using the spa as had fab weather, but we used the spa when stayed in la siesta the sister hotel and it was really good so presume it is similar. We have enjoyed it so much we have rebooked for December. Thankyou Gala hotel.

Stayed in room 609 (standard room) from 6th - 16th August. We have had a great time and the Hotel is really beautiful. Spotless. Re rooms. Modern, looks cool and spotless clean (credit to the cleaner who worked our floor for the duration of the stay). The air con worked a treat. We were on the top floor and a great view of the ocean - but also a great view of the washing line in the apartments directly opposite . But the view across Americas made up for that. Pool. Really enjoyed the Pool area. The view from the sunbeds looking up at the Mountains and Teidi was immense. Even though it was peak holiday season there were sunbeds available quite late on in the morning. The shallower pool was the busiest in terms of reserving sunbeds (830 would probably be the latest you would want to leave it). The deeper pool I was down there for 8am because its my favourite time of the day and like an early morning swim - but you could have been there after 9 most days and got a sunbed. Cocktail of the Day was a real bargin at 4 Euro - but to be honest the cocktail prices were only 6 Euros anyway. Great value. Don't know what was going on with the pool playlist - they seemed to play the same 3 songs - have a break for half an hour then play the same 3 songs again. If I hear Shape Of You one more time I will go mad!! Food. We stayed half board as it only added 30 Euros to the price of the holiday so it was a no brainer. The novelty of the breakfast wore off after about 3 days. Most of it was perfectly acceptable just got a bit tiring. Didnt help they kept having weird sausages instead of normal ones. But it was ok. Got my moneys worth in juice and coffee. Evening Meal was ok actually. Think we ate in 4 times for conveience and enjoyed the meals and selections. Not great for kids though it has to be said. Can see why people who are all inclusive get fed up reading other reviews. All-In or Half Board never really been for us - we like self catering usually - we only did halfboard because it was only 30 quid more but had a good mix of both. Entertainment. I didn't think much of the entertainment at night. Frustrating because if you walk to the otherside of the pool on a evening and look down at their sister hotel The Troya they always seemed to have a singer on stage. Silent Discos, Magic etc not for me. The payment card. Don't mind it being cashless but it is a bit stressful paying on your card and trying to keep up with how much you have spend. Some of the staff issued a receipt everytime. Some didnt and you had to ask. They should be offered for every transaction for those not all inclusive. The noise from Veronicas. We were that end of the hotel and you could hear the music from the surrounding bars. I liked it to be honest. Sat on the balcony it was quite entertaining. When in the room with the doors closed it was like just white noise and could easily fall to asleep. Saturday night was the loudest and went on until 5am but again didnt really bother me. You jus

We visited in October with my wife and daughter, husband and granddaughter. The hotel is in a good location and is very clean and well maintained. We did not have a sea view but the room (550) was a reasonable size with a decent veranda. No real view which didn't bother us but the noise from a hotel generator was extremely invasive which made sitting out uncomfortable. Fortunately the double glazed patio doors kept the noise out of the room. Reception services were fine and professional The food was ok. Breakfasts were the usual fare for Spain. There was a chef station which did fried eggs and omelettes of your choice. Plenty of cold meat and cheese, bread rolls etc. Lunch menus were a little restricted in choice but there was always enough. Dinners were also fine with the chef preparing a couple of fresh dishes. More main course choices than lunch. The main difficulty seemed to be shortage of staff. The chefs could not keep up with demand and there weren't enough staff clearing and resetting tables. We had dinner out three times at a great restaurant (Restaurante Matie) just behind the Veronica's shopping area. Thoroughly recommended. We had lunch at the hotel those days. My granddaughter loved the pool and the aqua aerobics but didn't take part in the other activities Entertainment from the adjacent hotel (Troya) was extremely noisy as it was one night in our hotel where a raucous motorbike (part of the performance) made excessive noise. To be fair we didn't watch much of the evening entertainment. Discos and silent disco's were not our scene. We did watch a Michael Jackson tribute show which was ok. I did think the main show's ten o clock start was too late. The hotel was very busy with a very mixed clientele, age and nationality wise which we liked. There was always somewhere to sit or get a sun bed. The food and drink at the pool bar was ok and reasonably priced but food service could be slow. The hotel was no where as bad as some previous reviewers have experienced and we enjoyed our week in the lovely weather.

At the beginning everything nice, room clean. Stayed 2 adults and 2 kids. No sleep at all all night as music outside so loud. Half games in game room taking money in but they broken and not doing anything. Went to speak in reception they can't do nothing about it and ofered to change room after 2 days as don't have rooms. One of our son's got sick bit after lunch meal (had all meals inside restaurant). Took to try chicken fajitas and when cuted inside is still pink(avoid chicken) another lady tryed to talk about same staff with one of shef ladys not sure or got any help. Adding up one of pools got closed not hotel fault someone's kid soiled pool, went with kids for lunch when back pool closed, tryed asked lifeguard whats happening but he don't speaks English, asked barmen he tryed make joke that some kid is how he said caput and laughed. Later finded out when went in reception. Peopleis smoking by the pool where is small kids and is absolutely stinks. Very disappointed, kids tired.

Currently on day 3 staying here at the gala and so far we cannot fault the place(first time in Tenerife). We are in a sea view room right at the end of the building next to the strip(and yes you can hear the music when sitting outside but barely when the balcony door is closed). And it’s easy to walk right past the ***** on the other side of the road (not our scene anymore and travelling with a 12 year old)The staff have been very friendly especially the cleaners, restaurant staff and reception staff. Pool is a decent size and hasn’t been overcrowded so far. Have been able to get a sun lounger every time we have went down to the pool. Can’t comment on the entertainment as we have been out every night so far. Breakfast and lunch have been not bad at all, we have always found something we can eat (reading the reviews we were worried about this as me and my daughter are fussy). All in all a fab stay so far and would definitely come back

Very nice looking hotel. We stayed for two weeks all inclusive. When we got there late we were given a packed lunch. The room was very clean and we were in a quiet spot away from Veronica’s. We had no problems getting a sunlounger at any point of the day. However the music was the same playlist every day on a loop. I never want to hear the song despacito ever again! The music was years out of date. I like to hear the classics but also like to hear modern music. The food was good and always plenty of choice. The English breakfast not so great but there are cereals, breads and fruit etc. The only downside to the dining room is on a few occasions we saw cockroaches on the floor and walls. Luckily we didn’t see any in the food. The entertainment was ok. We especially liked the band Gotra. We don’t have children but didn’t see much going on for the children at the hotel. There was a mini disco at night which lasted for about 20mins. On our last day we had a late flight but all inclusive stops at 12pm although we were offered a lunch voucher. I’ve never stayed all inc before and been charged for drinks on the last day. This was a big downside to this hotel. I imagine it is a big expense for larger families. We had a great holiday and some of the staff were lovely and hardworking. I’d recommend this hotel to friends and family
