Caybeach Sun

My young daughter and I have been coming to Caybeach Sun the last few years. We absolutely love coming here. There is an onsite shop that has all the essentials and more, staff in the shop are lovely. There’s 2 big swimming pools, a kids pool and water slides. There’s a pool bar where you can order food and drinks through out the day, staff at the pool bar work very hard getting everyone’s order to them, they are nice and helpful. The apartments are nice, spacious and comfortable. Reception and night staff are absolutely lovely, nothing is ever too much hassle. Especially Andreas who’s always cheerful and nice. One person who really stood out to me this year is Pika the entertainer, my god he is a ball of energy. He is great with the kids. Pika does activities during the day around the pool area and gets families involved adults and children. It’s great fun. Evening entertainment the kids love tattoos and mini disco, there does be bingo, karaoke, just dance and all sorts of evening entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Pika will talk to all the families and get everyone involved. He makes a big effort to speak in English for people like me who aren’t great with the Spanish language just yet . Hats off to pika he is very good at his job. The beach and town are only about 10-15 minute walk or 2-5 mins in a taxi. Great holiday this year.
Labranda Alyssa Suite Hotel

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for a week. I was very worried on our travel to the hotel due to reading the reviews before hand, however the hotel was better than expected. The rooms were lovely, very spacious and you even have your own terrace area with sundress and a table. Rooms were cleaned everyday but you have to ask for new towels and clean bedding if you want them. The pool was well maintained and very clean. We saw people cleaning it every morning and evening. Always sunbeds available at any point during the day too. The all inclusive buffet was good. Breakfast was definitely the best, lunch and dinner were good too - your usual all inclusive foods. Staff were friendly too and very helpful on the front desk. You’re a 10/15 minute walk away from playa flamingo beach which we took many visits to. There’s lots of shops and restaurants along the beach too which is great. You’re also walking distance to a small Waterpark too. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed it - would recommend if you’re looking for a quiet break away.
Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort
3.9/541 Reviews
We had a great family holiday at Elba Lanzarote this October with our family of nine, including two young nieces (2-6 yrs). The resort has a welcoming, village-like atmosphere and is pretty accessible, which is great for push chairs, elderly guests and wheelchair users. The rooms are self-contained and modern with their own private(ish) terraces, and they were kept very clean with plenty of fresh towels and excellent air conditioning. The pool areas were a bit cramped, this was during busy Oct school hols but we still found relatively quiet spots to relax. However I’d stress this is not a adult only destination and definitely a family-oriented resort. Our nieces enjoyed the kids' activities and the nightly mini disco. There were also various activities for adults, and a handy app helped us keep track of entertainment and spa treatments etc that are on offer. The all-inclusive food and drink was of pretty good quality, with themed dinner nights adding variety. However, the indoor dining areas, especially the buffet and Italian restaurant, were uncomfortably hot in places. Additionally, the bar and restaurant staff seemed overworked, which affected service, though they remained very friendly at all times despite the volume of people. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Elba Lanzarote and can definitely recommend if you’re looking for a family get away!
Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort
4.5/541 Reviews
On arrival your bags are stored and you are greeted like a long lost friend. A cold glass of bubbles follows whilst you check in. The Yaiza is a biggish hotel but it has acres of space so you never feel that it is overly busy. The entrance is pretty spectacular. The rooms are super comfy. We had a duplex room which has a large balcony and high ceilings. Plenty of space in these rooms upstairs for a couple more adults. Every room has exquisite toiletries, the quality is first class. The verbena body cream is a personal favourite. The towels are soft and fluffy ( changed twice a day if you require it) The sleep I get here is next level. Water is plentiful and there are so many special touches which make you feel really pampered. Rosa is a brand which recognises loyalty. Slippers, bathrobes and flip-flops were all part of my package. The food here is exceptional. There is nothing standard about the buffet, you really do look forward to it every night. In addition there are several restaurants you can visit. I love the Japanese and the Italian. This hotel combines adult luxury with first class child entertainment. There is a babysitting service, softplay, kikoland and a mini disco (special shout out to Bruno). There are character breakfasts each day for little ones. Our grandchildren adored it. I would go here with our without kids. Either way you will have an amazing time. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is luxury with real heart and soul
SBH Hotel Royal Mónica

We have just returned from a 10 day stay here. This is a very good 3 star hotel. To summarise: Yes.. it is at the far end of Playa Blanca. If that doesn't suit you there are many other hotels which are more centrally located so don't book it. It is 3 stars. If you want a 5 star experience book a 5 star hotel and pay the going rate. Rooms.. very large. Plenty of wardrobe/storage space. Large bathroom. Cleaned 5 days per week (exc Weds and Sunday). Staff. All the staff here, no matter what their role, are friendly and very helpful. They all work long hours and how they keep smiling is beyond me! Bar.. drinks are fine (with some self service ..hot beverages, soft drinks) and included in your package until 11.00 p.m when you have to pay. This is common in many all inclusive resorts. The bar staff are great and put up with a lot at times (mainly from fellow Brits I have to say!) Food/restaurant. Staff are great. Very attentive. We loved the food! There is plenty of choice catering for all nationalities. If you want a ”proper full English” and fish and chips maybe try a resort elsewhere which caters for mainly Brits or go self catering and eat out. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the food in this hotel. It's excellent and we saw no evidence of the dining area being plagued by flies as outlined on a previous review. If you need something just ask! I got a sink plug by asking Housekeeping . Nobody can read your mind so if something isn't right it will be fixed if you make the hotel staff aware. We didn't partake of much of the entertainment as it's not our thing. There are things going on during the day (by a very enthusiastic group of youngsters) and evening but looked like it might not be enough for some clients if you wanted a full night of entertainment such as you might get in 5star. It is what it is! In summary: clean hotel, staff great, food great, drinks good, needs a bit of updating (plenty of maintenance crew working on it), gardens well kept, far end of the resort so maybe not for everyone, entertainment might not be enough for some but was fine for us.
Hotel LIVVO Volcán Lanzarote
4.4/561 Reviews
We had a great stay, some downsides of cockroaches in the room (something which is ”normal” in Lanzarote according to the locals), so we changed rooms (with a little grimacing), this being the case we found some others in our new room with two single beds instead of a double bed which was our request on booking. Another downside in the room where we were we heard a lot of the pulling of chairs or other things like a move every evening and in the morning the waking up of the cleaning ladies (whom I respect for the thankless work they do) who pull their cleaning trolleys from 7:00 a.m. and which will inevitably wake you up. The good points, the excellent breakfast which is of great variety, we cannot judge the restaurant as we have not tried it. The swimming pool and the setting are really very beautiful. Small mention to Sabine, with whom we spoke at length, who gave us a lot of advice and was extremely kind.
