Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort

On arrival your bags are stored and you are greeted like a long lost friend. A cold glass of bubbles follows whilst you check in. The Yaiza is a biggish hotel but it has acres of space so you never feel that it is overly busy. The entrance is pretty spectacular. The rooms are super comfy. We had a duplex room which has a large balcony and high ceilings. Plenty of space in these rooms upstairs for a couple more adults. Every room has exquisite toiletries, the quality is first class. The verbena body cream is a personal favourite. The towels are soft and fluffy ( changed twice a day if you require it) The sleep I get here is next level. Water is plentiful and there are so many special touches which make you feel really pampered. Rosa is a brand which recognises loyalty. Slippers, bathrobes and flip-flops were all part of my package. The food here is exceptional. There is nothing standard about the buffet, you really do look forward to it every night. In addition there are several restaurants you can visit. I love the Japanese and the Italian. This hotel combines adult luxury with first class child entertainment. There is a babysitting service, softplay, kikoland and a mini disco (special shout out to Bruno). There are character breakfasts each day for little ones. Our grandchildren adored it. I would go here with our without kids. Either way you will have an amazing time. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is luxury with real heart and soul
Hotel LIVVO Volcán Lanzarote

We had a great stay, some downsides of cockroaches in the room (something which is ”normal” in Lanzarote according to the locals), so we changed rooms (with a little grimacing), this being the case we found some others in our new room with two single beds instead of a double bed which was our request on booking. Another downside in the room where we were we heard a lot of the pulling of chairs or other things like a move every evening and in the morning the waking up of the cleaning ladies (whom I respect for the thankless work they do) who pull their cleaning trolleys from 7:00 a.m. and which will inevitably wake you up. The good points, the excellent breakfast which is of great variety, we cannot judge the restaurant as we have not tried it. The swimming pool and the setting are really very beautiful. Small mention to Sabine, with whom we spoke at length, who gave us a lot of advice and was extremely kind.

We were delighted with our holiday. Yes the hotel seems busy but the staff and systems in place coped very well indeed. Our room was spacious, comfortable and kept very clean. We did eat at the Asian and Italian restaurants which were fine. However, the buffet restaurant provides a remarkable choice of well prepared, beautifully cooked and decorously presented food. My wife enjoys a glass of red wine and would recommend the Rioja and the Cava is also a very fine standard. Staff here are exceptional. The pool can be busy but there are lots of other places to sun bathe and we were always able to find a quite spot. We’d heard the Piano Bar service was slow but we had no complaints and the excellent staff always managed to take our order within five minutes. The hotel’s location is excellent with amazing see views and promenade walk with can to you into town within 40 minutes.
