Jardines del Sol

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)

A wonderful stay at JDS! We are a family of 5 with a 13, 10 and 7 year old. The accommodation is spacious, clean with everything you need. Bailey’s bar, was just great, the food was amazing with lots of choice and reasonably priced and the happy hour at 5-7pm is the perfect touch to the end of the day around the lovely pool area. There are always enough sun loungers and while people do place the towels, it’s not for a long while before they arrive. The Playa Flamingo beach is around 10-15 minutes walk and is great for snorkelling and spending the whole day. Supermarkets run alongside, with restaurants and cafes should you need them. Further along is Playa Dorada beach which is much more busy, but where you can enjoy the water sports etc. As a family of 5 the taxis proved difficult, but we used the local buses which were great if we didn’t want to walk. We would 100% recommend JDS and look forward to returning in the future!!!

The whole experience was exceptional. The customer service is second to none, nothing is too much trouble. The apartment is spacious and well stocked. They supply hand and body wash and body lotion. Tissues and in the bathroom and kitchen roll is also supplied. The kitchen has a dish washer, washer machine as well as oven, hob, microwave and coffee machine. The grounds are spotless. The pool is being renovated this year, there are 3 pools and lots of comfortable sun beds. It is 15 mins walk to the nearest beach, Flamingo. There is a bus right outside the resort, 2 every hour so very easy to get to town and the marina if you don’t want to walk. The restaurant on site is great and really reasonable. The food was very good too. I will definitely stay at the Jardines Del Sol again.

Myself, husband, son and his friend (aged 17) have just returned from a 6 night stay. This was a very last minute booking that we made using our avios points. We chose a 4 bedroom villa which had 2 king rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a further two twin bedded rooms with a family bathroom. There was a large living dining kitchen area and a huge balcony of one of the king rooms on the upper level. There was also a large wrap around terrace patio area. You could access the villa through electric gates and a front door on one side and patio doors out of the rear. All with key card. The bedrooms, bathrooms and living area were all very clean and modern looking. The kitchen had seen better days but was white and clean. The appliances seemed slightly old and the washing machine did not work very well at all. Seemed like the final spin was broke and so everything came out dipping wet which was then hard to dry outside. The toaster also had issues and didn’t seem to work on one side and only partly on the other. There were also lots of ants on the floor, by the windows/doors and crawling on the worktops and sideboard. During our six nights, we had housekeeping give us fresh towels and the villa was cleaned and beds made etc on one occasion only. It would have been nice to have a couple of extra towels to swap out when get wet. The villa is set in a complex with lots of smaller two bedroom units and lovely grounds leading to the pool area. There was a reception area with huge bookcase full of books you could borrow and snack bar by the pool that served a huge menu of really lovely and very reasonably priced food and drinks. You had to pay for pool towels which was €2 per day per towel or you could pay €8 for a week per towel. There was a pool table, and table tennis table by the pool and also saw a kids play area. We hired a car and was able to park it on our own villa drive. It did have a garage attached to the villa but did not use this as was very small. It would have been nice to have a sweeping brush and ironing board. But there was an iron, a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets and paper towels and toilet paper. The bathrooms had a combined shower gel/shampoo in the shower but no conditioner or handwash. There was 2 safes and several large flat screen tvs, but no English Chanel’s available. The location of the villa was a couple minutes drive from beach and restaurant areas and walkable in approx 30 mins or less. While I hated how windy the island was, if the need arose I would stay here again.
