If you’re thinking of booking just do it! Pristine from start to finish in every way. Absolutely gorgeous food, beautiful rooms / drinks and just the most lovely helpful staff who cannot do enough for you. Shout out to Elena the lifeguard. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed, I’d love to go back one day!

We had a wonderful holiday in Crete – this time on the western side of the island, as we really wanted to visit the Samaria Gorge and Elafonissi Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the entire complex – small, but full of charm! A special mention goes to the friendly and attentive team, and a big thank you to Goran, who welcomed us warmly every evening and provided excellent service. The atmosphere during dinner was always relaxed and often very entertaining – thank you for that! The food was varied and of very good quality. Although I eat everything, I did notice that the vegan options could use some small improvements – both in terms of variety and labeling, as the signs were unfortunately not always accurate. There was a great selection at the salad bar (quinoa, lentils, a variety of vegetables, etc.), but the warm/main dishes could perhaps offer more protein-rich options besides potatoes and vegetables – such as tofu, tempeh, seitan, legumes, or similar. The beach area and the immediate surroundings could be maintained and presented a bit more attractively. Nevertheless, we’d like to thank the entire team for a relaxing holiday and many beautiful memories. Warm regards from Luxembourg!

Asterion is a perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday. My friend and I stayed at one of the Planet rooms, and they were spacious & just what we needed. The bed was very comfortable with a firm mattress (the perfect firmness), and the room had everything that you needed. The hotel has a lovely and nice atmosphere, and it had a perfect location if you don’t want to live in the middle of the tourist area. If you want to go to Platanias or Xhania, it’s only 10 min and 20 min away with a car. You can also take the bus which have bus stops close to the hotel, but we used the taxi company that the hotel offered. The staff was amazing and super friendly, they helped us with everything we needed and were really friendly. A big thank you to Chris for giving us the best recommendations! We also tested the spa which was very relaxing. And also very friendly. We ate mostly in Platanias and around the area, but we also had a meal at the restaurant at the hotel and it was lovely. Can’t wait to come back here, and we most certainly will soon. Thanks again to the hotel staff for making our stay so pleasant!

We recently returned from an eleven-night stay at Asterion Suites, and what a marvellous hotel it is, delivering wonderfully on everything one would expect from 5* hotel. There are only positives things to say about our stay, from the accommodation, the staff and the location, to the most amazing food one could ever wish to be served. Our room was a ground floor suite with a swim up pool, this was immaculate, extremely spacious with a small kitchen and fridge and a separate area with the fabulous comfy king size bed. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower; overall the room was luxurious and spotlessly clean. We were on a half-board basis, with the option of booking a table at the a-la-carte restaurant adjoining the main dining area. However, we never chose this option as the quality of the buffet food was exceptional, so many different dishes to choose from and all the dishes cooked to perfection. This excellent quality and choices of food was also evident at breakfast time, the breakfast staff also amazing. All staff were incredible throughout the hotel, attentive and friendly and made us feel so welcome. Particular thanks and praise should go to Goran and Manolis in the restaurant and Chris, Yianis and Dimitra on reception; all of whom were so friendly and accommodating to us, a credit to the hotel. The outside area was fabulous, immaculately kept with a large pool, comfy sunbeds and an adjoining modern bar. The beach area is excellent with lots of quality sunbeds and a duty lifeguard, there was always space here any time of the day. The hotel is located a couple of miles from Platanias, which was perfect for us; we wanted somewhere quiet and relaxed, and this fit our requirements perfectly. There is a lovely mile long paved path at the front of the hotel running parallel to the beach up to Maleme, magnificent views at sunset. There are a couple of beach bar/restaurants adjacent to the hotel on the beach, the one to the right served decent food and drinks (in particular, draft beer, as the hotel only stocks bottled beer). This hotel was so fabulous that we have done something unique to us, immediately on our return, we booked to return again in a couple of months’ time, it was that good! Con and Sarah

We stayed at the hotel for 7 days and couldn’t be more pleased. Everything about the hotel was perfect, but what truly made our stay special was the staff — incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind. Their warm hospitality made all the difference and created a truly lovely experience. The food was outstanding — genuinely one of the best I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive hotel. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, always spotless. Despite the heatwave and working in 30°C+ temperatures, the staff remained cheerful and welcoming — being greeted with a smile every morning was such a nice touch. We’ll definitely be returning and will gladly recommend this hotel to friends and family. ♥️
