The most amazing holiday. The staff were all incredible and hard working, they couldn’t do enough for you. Even in 38 degree weather they were extremely hard working, so thank you all so much. Our room was room 623, it was an inland view room and it was brilliant. The balcony was huge, the room was always lovely and clean. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The aircon was amazing especially coming in after such hot days. The only thing slightly annoying was in the shower there would be a sudden burst of boiling water which would occur sporadically while showering but we put this down to the plumbing and showering at busier times? Having read a few questionable reviews before arriving in Zante we were concerned we were going to have a repeat of our holiday last year to Crete. We had previously stayed last year in a ‘5*’ hotel in Crete which was fairly poor, hotel lovely but drinks and food just terrible and room was questionable. I can honestly say this year we were blown away and everything beat our expectations. I can’t believe there is any bad reviews for this hotel. Special mention to Ervin, Asimina & the man who works at the pool bar / entertainment sea front on the later shifts (we didn’t catch his name, we also hope we’ve spelt the other two names correctly) they were all stand outs for us. Super friendly, hard working and always had a smile on their face while doing so. Matt the TUI rep on site in the hotel was a great help, really friendly and helpful guy. The 3 entertainment girls were brilliant, always enthusiastic and bubbly, they really made you feel welcomed. Beds are easy to get, the better ones were being reserved early but you could always find a bed no matter what time and you were always in the sun so this didn’t matter to us. The cocktails were amazing! All real alcohol and juice, no pre mixed drinks or cheap alcohol. Food was great, plenty of variety (coming from someone who is fussy) Night time entertainment was brilliant. Something different most nights, from an Elton John tribute act, to Greek dancers and a live singer. The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to stay in the hotel your whole trip or if you want to venture out. There’s lots to do near by, cars to rent, boat trips to go on and supermarkets to go to. One downside to the hotel is there are no wrist bands for guests which you see at other hotels (everyone is all inclusive so I understand why this is the case.) With this we were certain we had seen some people staying in the hotel bringing in their friends to the hotel every day, drinking for free round the pool and taking up some of the best beds who were actually staying else where and hadn’t paid to be there at all. After drinking by the pool all day we would then see them leave back to their own hotels for lunch/dinner times to return for drinks later on. This was really annoying to see as someone who’s paid full price to be there, it seemed unfair on the hotel and the actual

Myself and my partner have returned from a wonderful relaxing stay at this hotel. Like many others have said, it is the staff that make this place and our experience such a good one. Nothing was ever too much for any staff member we spoke to and they all worked so hard to ensure that we had a memorable experience. I must given special mention to the bar staff and waiting staff, especially Ervin who works on an evening time. Ervin is a credit the the hotel, always works with a smile and always willing to talk to the guests. Also, Saul who helps with the entertainment was excellent. His sense of humour and ability to entertain is fantastic. He even managed to persuade me to do aqua aerobics, something I would not normally do! Entertainment by and large was good, our favourite parts were the silent disco and karaoke. The hotel is in a lovely beach front location, a short walk to Tsillivi which had a good nightlife even though we was late in the season. The food was good in the hotel, plenty of choice at each meal. We enjoyed eating in the snack bar for most of our lunches, lovely fresh food made to order and served with a smile. We stayed in room 303, sea view with a balcony. Yes the room was a little basic but we don't go on holiday to stay in our room! Fridge was replenished daily, air conditioning worked brilliantly and the room was cleaned daily. We would both recommend this hotel and would return again in the future, which to me is always a sign of a holiday well spent.

This hotel has the potential to be outstanding, with a few tweeks and maintenance upkeep could be lovely, it has the location, size, look and the staff are so hardworking, the part that let's it down unfortunately is some of the rooms, we paid for a swim up room and when we arrived we were given room 833, (which in my opinion should not be given to anyone, turn it into a store room or something) so when we arrived it lost the excited holiday feel as people save for ages to have a lovey holiday and that room sadly lets it down, no sunlight at all and everything damp with bugs filling the water as it looks neglected. But once we spoke to David at reception he moved us the next day to room 819 on the other side which was what we had paid for and was able to enjoy the last 6 days of the holiday the way we was hoping for.

We we're a little worried about staying due to some poor reviews as many have said, but so glad we did come here, our room was an Inland view room & was facing the back road 925 & had a huge balcony with a side sea view, the room was good in size & clean, but the air con even though reported a couple of times aint really powerfull enough, so was a little warm at times, the room was not out dated at all as some have complained about, well not in this block, i did hear someone say in the main hotel the rooms are small & outdated??? The fridge is re-stocked with Water & cans of pop daily, the only problem in this block is there's a pub on the back road, that occasionally played music till 01.30 in the morning...1 night past 12am on another night... & 5 nights till 11.30pm which usually was the time when we got back, so anybody wanting an early night would definitely have an issue. Yes the sunloungers have had their day & most are creaking & wobbly & if you like Cats then fill your boots because I've never seen as many, even at night in the main restaurant there are cats wondering around under the tables & guests feeding them & it being classed as normal, as no staff seem to be bothered about them being in the restaurant & folk feeding them, the cats also sit on seating areas inside the hotel & just left to sleep, which for me they need to sort this out, as its an hotel not a cat hotel, that's all the negatively out of the way, now the positives!!! Wow the food is amazing, but the desserts are as good as we've had anywhere, absolutely 1st class, as well as the service from all of the staff, the afternoon outside eating area, where you pick from a menu is 5 star all freshly prepared & led by Anna & the team, who work their socks off & deserves a mention, also the outside beach bar is the place to get your best drinks, as the young lady making them has got them spot on, all her drinks are a wow. Saul in charge of the entertainment team is hilarious & well supported with his team of Girls making the various afternoon games etc a blast, the nightly entertainment was overall very good & again the staff work their socks off running to the bar to keep you all in drinks. Summing up yes some could pick fault, as I've mentioned there are flaws but overhaul it's a fantastic hotel & we would definitely return even though I'm not a Cat lover haha

Don’t read the bad reviews! I was a little apprehensive about coming here after reading some of the bad reviews and it being our honeymoon and it’s honestly been a dream holiday. The staff are very friendly, breakfast lunch and dinner are delicious and there is a such a wide range you won’t go hungry. And you must visit the al la carte restaurant the food was Michelin star! Gorgeous views of the sunrise and sunsets and you don’t have to fit for sun beds. Only downside are the infinitely pool is freezing, the sea is warmer! We’ve really enjoyed our stay, thank you very much

Honestly, I am not even sure where to start. We went into a TUI store to book our dream honeymoon. When we we're shown the Caravel, we we're blown away with how luxurious / modern it looked and that it was made out to be. Safe to say, this turned into the honeymoon from hell! We paid not far off £5,000 for 2 weeks (including a room upgrade to a full sea view) and honestly, I would have been peeved to have paid £2,000. Old fashioned room, ants crawling everywhere, cracked tiles all over the bathroom, broken sun loungers and broken board walk along the beach. Honestly, the whole thing seemed like a scam! When you use all of your wedding present money and money we had saved up by working all hours under the sun, you can't help but be devastated. If I can give 1 word of advice, do not use your hard earned money to the Caravel or TUI for that matter! After all of our experience + more (which is too awful to put over the internet) we have been offer £200 as compensation, I nearly laughed out of my chair when that was offered, not even 5% of what we spent

Honest review of our stay at TUI Blue Caravel When all flights got delayed last year we got out up in this lovely hotel for the night. We loved it that much that we thought we would try it for our holiday this year. We arrived on Friday and were instantly greeted by the hotel staff. We were asked if we would like lunch before check in, and the food was just as good as we remembered it. There is a wide selection and definitely something for everyone. We were greeted with welcome drinks and a member of staff helped us with our bags to our rooms. We stayed in 817 which I believe is the newer block, and it had a swim up pool (we upgraded late with TUI, I recommend doing this as it only cost us an extra £60 in the end instead of hundreds as they had some spare rooms close to departure date). Yes the rooms could do with a bit of tlc but are you actually spending that much time in your bathroom etc to nit pick every single thing? The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Beds were comfy with plenty of room for hanging clothes. We also had the lounge bar attached to our block so it was perfect for grabbing evening drinks if you didn't fancy the entertainment. The cleaners deserve a huge shout out, they were cleaning rooms daily and always to a great standard. The vibe was relaxing, and as it was end of season there wasn't much going on, but we still found it great. The pool is cold but once you brave it a couple of times you get used to it. We were blessed with thunderstorms the first few days, but the staff were fantastic and kept the drinks flowing! The drinks were great and I highly recommend doing a cocktail class, it was so much fun! Angelo and Maia deserve a shout out as they really do try and make all visitors feel welcome. The staff really do put their all into their jobs and without them the hotel wouldn't be as good as it is. There was table service in the evening and sun bed service in the day. Highly recommend the snack bar and the restaurant visit, lovely food and was really relaxing. The breakfast was always great and I highly recommend the hash browns and asking for a iced caramel latte! They were amazing. They also have an omelette station which they cook to order, which was an added bonus. The spa needs a bit of an upgrade as the indoor pool was FREEZING and the steam room and sauna had a mind of it's own if it was gonna work or not, but we only used it once and it didn't affect our stay in the slightest as it was just an added extra. All in all I think you get what you pay for here, especially when it's close to the end of the season. It's been a lovely relaxing holiday and the hotel and experience itself has been great. We would return in the future but maybe a few weeks earlier for a bit of a better atmosphere. If you are expecting a proper 5 star.. just remember you are in Greece and pipe down Yamas!

What a fantastic place to visit! My only minor criticism was that the rooms were looking a bit tired and some of the beach towels had seem better days. They were however spotlessly clean and we weren’t in our rooms long enough for it to detract from an amazing holiday. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming and a few names definitely stood out for me. Saul was the entertainment manager and his team Wilma, Miya and Filipa were there from early morning to late at night taking care of some fantastic activities. I loved the Bocha and Kubb games and had so much fun making new friends. The aqua fit sessions were also brilliant fun and helped make be feel a little less guilty about eating so much. Food was delicious, from the buffet to the fine dining. Anna was a big presence and worked tirelessly to ensure things were just perfect in the cullinariam and snack bar. The buffet breakfast, lunch a dinner was varied and delicious. The omelette man was kept busy every morning serving freshly prepared omelettes to order. The waiting staff were all equally great, they were happy and attentive and very polite. The bar staff were on it, especially “darling”and the girls serving round the main pool (sorry didn’t get your names) ensuring you were never thirsty. Finally a mention for Daniel for the best massage I have ever had. The photos are a good guide on how beautiful the setting and the food is.

We had the most amazing honeymoon at the Caravel! Staff were waiting to greet us as soon as we arrived - we were offered a welcome drink while we checked in and our bags were taken to our room. We stayed in a sea view room with a jaccuzi and it was amazing. The room was lovely and the view from our balcony was stunning. There was a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us and the room also had a mini fridge filled with soft drinks and water that was refilled during our stay. The whole hotel felt relaxing and peaceful, yet had plenty of activities to keep you busy if you wanted. We joined in with darts which was good fun, and we also enjoyed the pool party and beach party. Our favourite activity was the cocktail class, would definitely recommend booking this! The activity hosts were all friendly and enthusiastic. The evening entertainment was also good - we enjoyed the live music and 'The Night' was fantastic. The pool area was lovely. The infinity pool was cool enough to be refreshing but still warm enough that you could spend a while relaxing there. Some people did seem to get up very early and reserve beds but hotel staff were quite good at enforcing their policy of not reserving beds before 9am and removing towels that had been unattended for over an hour. We never struggled to get a bed in a nice area. The food and drinks at the hotel were amazing, a real highlight for us. The cocktails were fantastic and it was a nice touch having drinks service, especially around the pool. It was slightly slower service during the day (but the bar was close so it wasn't a problem) but on an evening the staff were so attentive and made sure everyone was served as quickly as they could. I was slightly nervous about food before our stay as we had read some reviews that mentioned it being repetetive/not much choice, but we found that this couldn't have been further from the truth. We enjoyed the different themed nights and found that food was different every day. There was an incredible amount of choice for evening meals and breakfast, it was almost overwhelming trying to decide what to have! I'm quite a fussy eater but really enjoyed every meal and found that there was plenty of choice for me. We didn't visit the main restaurant for lunch as we decided to go to the snack bar instead. The food here was fantastic, plenty of choice and all freshly cooked. The best meal was definitely at the Culinarium. It was a beautiful restaurant looking over the sea, and the food was fantastic, both in presentation and taste. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would love to return in the future. The hotel is simply amazing and the staff work incredibly hard to look after their guests. We would highly recommend the Caravel to anyone!
