Chabil Mar Villas - Guest Exclusive Boutique Resort

I was at Chabil Mar Villas in Placencia Village, Belize, for a wedding, and honestly, it was incredible. The team made the whole 3-day event feel effortless—they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Every little detail was handled, and they were always ready with solutions if anything came up. The hospitality was next level, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making the experience a memorable one. If you're looking for a gorgeous spot where the staff truly has your back, this is it!

We stayed at Chabil Mar Villas for one week in September. Come to find out September is their low season so, we had the resort almost exclusively to ourselves. We stayed in Villa 11 which is close to the bar and one of the two pools. The room was equip with everything you would need. We had a king size bed, full kitchen, ocean view and a wrap around deck. Umberto and Omar were our bartenders for most of the week. They both could make excellent drinks and were very attentive to us. The concierge was very helpful in making our arrangements for our tour of the Monkey River and the rental of the golf cart. Lacho was the shuttle bus driver for us and showed us all around the town of Plascencia. He gave us recommendations for good restaurants to visit. The staff at Chabil Mar Villas are all very attentive and try to make you feel like you are at home. The resort does not have a dedicated restaurant for you to go and eat in. They will bring your food to any place in the resort for you to enjoy. The beach at Chabil Mar Villas is not the best. There are big slippery rocks at the edge for erosion control. So it is a bit difficult to get into the ocean. The water is very warm but not clear at all. So we spent most of the time in the pool. The pools needed some work but, they will be working on them while they close down for one month. I would definitely recommend this resort for how well the staff treats you. Our daughter and her fiancé recently got married at Chabil Mar, and we could not have been happier with how it turned out! Chabil Mar is a beautiful place to stay at any given time, with local flowers surrounding the property, topiaries scattered throughout, 2 pools, a long deck and the sea at your feet. But the service, the food, the decorations, and the attention to details during the wedding were above and beyond what we expected! The Manager, Chris, bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect, and their wedding planner, Therese, made sure everything went as planned (even with a variety of hiccups that had nothing to do with them or Chabil Mar). We are so grateful for their help, their service and their dedication to making this wedding a truly wonderful event that we will never forget!

We made a last minute decision to get away from our farm business for a couple of nights in Placencia. We chose Chabil Mar Villas and wow, it turned out to be a fabulous choice. The beach front rooms, pools and meals made it a special anniversary getaway. The living area, kitchen and bedroom were all spacious and comfortable. The highlight for us was the meals from the kitchen served at an outdoor eating area, our front porch or dining area in our room. 1st class dining at your doorstep. Lobster, shrimp, excellent filet mignon all fixed with taste and style.

The room was fantastic. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The view was stellar and the service was the best I ever had. I’m not good at being pampered and they made it effortless, as strange as that might sound. The food was impeccable. If you have a chance to try the lobster thermidor, please do it, for your happy tummy’s sake.

Chabil Mar was a perfect choice for our nine night stay. This resort is close enough to town and yet enough on the outskirts to be a tranquil resort. The layout of the resort is super nice roomy spacious and beautiful. The two pools are a perfect location with view of the sea. The deck area is super nice to have breakfast or any other meal on as well as out on the dock, which is covered to get you out of the heat or rain. We love that you can call or WhatsApp your order from anywhere on the property and have your drinks or meal delivered to you wherever you would like. All the staff are extremely helpful and very nice. Anything you need they were helpful with. One of our favorite benefits was the shuttle service. They were prompt in picking us up at the airport and deficient and dropping us off at the end of our day as well. In addition they offer for to 10 PM shuttle service into town. Just have their number in your WhatsApp connect to any restaurants Wi-Fi and give them a call. They will pick you up within five minutes or less. Saved us a lot of money and was super helpful. You can also walk into town or walk back from town after a lovely meal. The section from the end of the sidewalk to the resort can be confusing at first, but not too difficult and not too far walking all the way through town is a great experience, Victoria, Natalie, Lacho, Ryan (the do everything man) Dion we’re all super nice and super helpful. Really loved our stay. By the way, the actual villa was super nice roomy and well stocked. There was no hairdryer in the villa, but I simply called the front desk and they delivered one immediately. The bed was large and comfy, air conditioning worked great and the terrace chairs and table are very nice to sit out at look over the property and at the sea. Really great stay.
