Chabil Mar Villas - Guest Exclusive Boutique Resort

Belize was hands down our best ever vacation and Chabil Mar met every expectation we had from having a personalized chalkboard welcome note on arrival to the friendly shuttle driver at departure! One of our favorite Chabil Mar experiences was dining at our chosen location each meal, from our villa’s dining room table , our porch tables , the beach and the pier we just loved the cozy feel of not going to a restaurant like all of our other all-inclusive travels! Staff took care of every detail for our excursions and the excursions were exceptional, not a single disappointment in the beauty of our surroundings, the friendliness of the people and the array of wildlife we saw. Housekeeping kept our rooms clean, the bar and wait staff kept our cups full and the groundskeepers keep the beach clean and the greenery amazing. We did have an issue with patio lights being on all night and making sleep difficult but when we presented our concern the staff immediately made things right. I really appreciated that we had a washer and dryer in our room, ample seating options on our porch and comfy beds. We cannot say enough good things about Chabil Mar, it was above and beyond what we expected , the staff was phenomenal. We definitely would love to go back.

I was at Chabil Mar Villas in Placencia Village, Belize, for a wedding, and honestly, it was incredible. The team made the whole 3-day event feel effortless—they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Every little detail was handled, and they were always ready with solutions if anything came up. The hospitality was next level, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making the experience a memorable one. If you're looking for a gorgeous spot where the staff truly has your back, this is it!

How do you describe the perfect family vacation? You really can’t, you have to experience Chabil Mar to fully understand. The beauty and culture of Placencia topped off with the luxurious accommodations and services of Chabil Mar are unmatched. Our family of 5 loved it so much we came back 2 years later! This time, were fortunate to experience Lobsterfest, the ATM caves, a day on a private catamaran (cayes/snorkeling), massages, endless amazing meals, biking, swimming, games… The list goes on and on. If you want to relax or want adventure, the concierge will arrange anything and everything for you. The sky is the limit. The attention to detail, housekeeping, ground keepers , waiters, bartender, chef, drivers, literally everyone is helpful. Before Belize, we did most of our vacations at all-inclusives. We have been forever changed by Plancencia (and Chabil Mar). We realize how much we have been missing out on when we go to other countries! Chabil Mar does have an inclusive option if you choose but even that offers lots of flexibility. FYI, the food and bar drinks are great! I especially loved the cauliflower tacos and shrimp ceviche Relaxing on the pier with appetizers and drinks served was my favorite pastime! Our 2 bedroom with a loft was perfect for 3 older teens. Every villa looks beautiful. I don’t think there is a bad view. Ours was #16. We love our daily visits from the iguanas. Our kids are getting older and family vacations are precious and numbered. Most importantly, I cherish our time together but Chabil Mar made every this week perfect in every way. Thank you the forever memories. ❤️

Our daughter and her fiancé recently got married at Chabil Mar, and we could not have been happier with how it turned out! Chabil Mar is a beautiful place to stay at any given time, with local flowers surrounding the property, topiaries scattered throughout, 2 pools, a long deck and the sea at your feet. But the service, the food, the decorations, and the attention to details during the wedding were above and beyond what we expected! The Manager, Chris, bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect, and their wedding planner, Therese, made sure everything went as planned (even with a variety of hiccups that had nothing to do with them or Chabil Mar). We are so grateful for their help, their service and their dedication to making this wedding a truly wonderful event that we will never forget!

This was our 2nd time staying at Chabil Mar and we loved it just as much as the first. The villas are beautiful with large terraces, so spacious and well-stocked with extremely comfortable beds and excellent linens. Excellent on-site food and drinks that they will deliver to you anywhere on the property you request. The gardens are immaculate and lush. Location to us is perfect. Just on the edge of the village. Takes 5-7 minutes to get to the Placencia sidewalk when you walk along the beach. Shuttles run regularly from 4 pm to 10 pm so you can grab one from anywhere in Placencia to return you to Chabil Mar. Best part is the staff - they bend over backwards to help you with anything you need. Smiling, helpful and professional. Top notch all around. We will be back!

Chabil Mar put together a package for our family (me, my wife and two sons 19 and 16) where we spent half the trip at Chabil Mar and half at Caves Branch (in the rain forest). The entire trip was amazing. The staff at Chabil Mar are incredible. We had lots of questions before the trip in terms of coordinating excursions and everything and they were extremely responsive and took care of everything. We felt like we had VIP treatment from the moment we stepped out of the airport until the very end. The Chabil Mar property is beautiful. We stayed in the two bedroom seafront premier. This was perhaps the nicest hotel accommodations we have ever had. It was a huge two-story house with a wrap-around porch on the first and second floors - both with unobstructed views of the ocean. The unit huge and is the beach is just two steps away from the front door. And having the laundry machines was a nice plus (particularly after spending time in the jungle at Caves Branch). The food was also top notch - we are not used to Filet Mignon and Lobster at an all-inclusive resort. All of our meals were delicious. And although we loved all of the meals at the resort, we also really appreciate that included in the package were vouchers to have a 3-course meal in town in Placencia at a list of different restaurants. We used one of the golf carts to get to town and our restaurant - which was a lot of fun and nice to see the town. But the best part was the excursions that are included in the package. The snorkeling trip at Silk Caye was amazing - the reef was beautiful and we were lucky to have close encounters with dolphins, huge sea tortoises and sharks. And the monkey river tour with Percy was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. All of the reviews of Percy were spot-on. He entertains you with his stories from the moment you get on the boat - and his personal connection to the natural surroundings and the monkeys is unparalleled. Make sure you ask for the tour with Percy. The beach and ocean are very nice here, but note that the ocean floor at this beach is a bit slimy. But, with some much to do in Belize, we did not spend a lot of time swimming in the ocean at the hotel. This was a perfect family vacation - and Chabil Mar is the perfect spot to spend a few days and experience a lot of what Belize has to offer.
