Itz'Ana Resort & Residences

Loved this resort! Probably the nicest in Placencia and they have a very cool sister resort Ka’ana in the jungle. Highly recommend staying here! Property is beautiful and the welcome drinks are delicious!

Our stay at Itz’ana Resort was absolutely amazing. The resort itself is stunning, with a beautiful beach area that feels like paradise and a wonderful pool that’s perfect for relaxing or enjoying a swim. The staff truly made the experience even better—they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. You can really tell they care about their guests. We left feeling refreshed and taken care of, and there’s no doubt we’ll be back in the future. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Belize!

We stayed at Itz’Ana after a stay in the mountains and had an excellent experience. The Villa we stayed in was amazing, right on the beach, two personal pools and a full kitchen too. Pool area was excellent as were the restaurants. Amazing staff, very friendly and accommodating. I would be honored to stay here again on my next Belize visit.

We had a fantastic time at It’zana. It’s such a beautiful property and the service was excellent. Mark, Janelle, JD, and Dwight quickly become our friends and made us feel so welcomed. We were celebrating our anniversary and we arrived to a nice welcome amenity in our room that made it even more special. After doing a lot of diving in the beginning of our trip, relaxing by the pool and beach at It’zana was just what we needed. We will definitely be back! Thanks to all the staff at It’zana!

Overall we had a very pleasant stay at Itz'ana. This is one of the nicest hotels in Placencia, which is a great laid back destination for families. We rented a 3 bedroom villa on the beach, which was beautiful and right outside our villa. The inside of the villa was very comfortable. We asked for housekeeping each day, which the staff provided. One of the 3 pools in between the villa rooms was a bit green, the staff said it had been sitting unused for an extended period, as we came during the slower rainy season. They cleaned it and did some maintenance on the equipment, restoring it to swimmable condition. We had some ants in the main kitchen area and pointed it out to management, saying they would tell the staff about it, but this never got attended to. I think this is one of the realities of being in Belize. The pool area and restaurant were very comfortable and enjoyable. The staff definitely operate on "island time," nothing is rushed. The only negatives, being the slower rainy season, staffing was low, some things were closed or had limited hours. Despite that, all of the staff were accommodating. It was difficult sometimes to get someone at the hotel on the phone, Whatsapp or email are the preferred method of communication. They went out of their way to reschedule our domestic flight from Belize City after our incoming international flight was delayed and we missed our connection. All things being said, we would have no hesitation to return to Itz'ana!
