Hotel that met our expectations Hotel very lively pity that there is not more animation in Italian Very clean room In terms of food, for a hotel located in Italy. Very few local specialties which is unfortunate Super nice staff especially Anna 😍

We stayed for a week in late September/early October. The weather was great for most of the week (in the late 20’s) with only a little rain so it’s a great time of year to get away from the English weather without talking a long flight. We stayed in the private lodge area and can highly recommend it, as it feels like such a lovely haven from what is a busy, but well run resort. You have the luxury of dipping in and out of each area, and the service in the private lodge bars and restaurant was great. The entire resort was very clean and well kept. All of the public areas were being cleaned and tidied constantly. It was very impressive. The only, very small negative and a suggestion for improvement was the number of staff on reception. It could take a long time, and there were often queues to speak to someone. The food was good on the buffets in both areas, more choice in the main restaurant, but we preferred eating in the private lodge area because the drinks are served to your table, in nice glasses (red wine served at room temperature) and it was just very peaceful and laid back there in comparison. The pasta/risotto station in the private lodge area which was manned by a lovely chef was great and he really cared about the food he dished up for you - I wish I’d taken his name. All of the staff in that area were attentive and most were very friendly too. A special mention to Carmine in the Private lodge bar, Anna-Maria in the pool bar, Bruno in the Trattoria and Emanuel in the Wunderbar. They were all lovely, gave great service with a great sense of humour and put up with our bad attempts to speak Italian! The beach is good and there are so many sun beds! The walk to the beach is really relaxing through the trees. We didn’t go in the sea. Mainly because it was so nice at the pool, plus the beach is pebbly and therefore hard under foot, but it’s still a great beach to chill out on a lounger with an all inclusive drink from the bar. We went to Pizzo a couple of times on the shuttle bus. It’s a small town on the coast, so it doesn’t take long to explore but it’s very pretty and worth going. Plenty of places for a coffee or a drink whilst watching the world go by too. We also visited Reggio Calabria - good town for shopping and a good view of Sicily and Mount Etna, and the picturesque fisherman’s village of Scilla . All in all a fantastic holiday in a beautiful part of the world. We’ve seriously considered going back to the same resort, but also feel there is much more to explore in that part of Italy!

Just returned from this beautiful hotel. We have only praise for the pristine ground keeping, the cleanliness of the rooms , the friendly staff, the tasty food and drinks, in fact just everything! We were very impressed. Stayed in the private Lodge area which was very peaceful with the option of using any of the rest of the resort if we felt the need for a little more activeness. The beach is stunning and the walk down through the pine forest is very cool and calm. Went on a day trip to Capo Vaticano, Tropea and Pizzo which was very good. Had we stayed for longer than a week we would probably have ventured out a bit more but we both needed a few days of rest and relaxation and this place fitted the bill perfectly. Would definitely book again!)

Our relaxing week in Italy was wonderful ❤️ The resort was really lovely. We stayed in the adults only Private Lodge area. The other part of the resort was just as nice, but noisier with lots of kids so it really depends on what type of holiday you're looking for. I'd done lots of research and knew that the Private Lodges would suit us more as a couple. I booked the upgrade ahead, directly with the hotel. Our area was so peaceful with it's own pool, bar & restaurant It's like 2 resorts in one! We had gorgeous weather for October too which is always a bonus! The walk through the woods to the private beach was absolutely beautiful It's the kind of place where you can do lots (Tennis, Archery, Aerobics, Gym, Cycling etc.) Or simply relax which is exactly what we did! Although my husband used the gym most mornings and we tried out the Archery which was great fun! We cannot fault the food & drinks. There's definitely something for everyone. Special thanks to Anna Marie at the pool bar who was always so friendly and got to know our drinks! In fact everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. The staff are a credit to the resort. Always happy and smiling & saying "Bonjourno" as they pass. We were a bit disappointed by the shows. They have a really amazing Amphitheatre, great dancers but in our opinion they need a better producer! There's so much potential but the shows weren't great. That might just be our personal opinion though! There's nothing around the resort so it made us totally relax which we needed although we did venture out to the closest town of Pizzo for an afternoon/evening which was nice to visit. The resort shuttle is just €10 each for the return journey. Make sure you try the Tartofu ice cream. We're sad to be home which is always the sign of a great holiday! Thank you Tui Magic Life Calabria ~ we definitely recommend and will visit again I'm sure!

We are on the last day of a two week holiday and have already booked to come back in September 2025. We have never been so impressed by a resort as to book a second stay before returning home. The staff here are a credit to the resort. They are all so helpful and attentive to your needs. We stayed in the adult only Private Lodge area. There was never a problem getting a sun bed and we were even able to change location during the day if we wanted more shade. We preferred the area with the ‘sails’ to the areas with parasols. The pool area is very attractive. The food in the buffet restaurant although limited to choice was of a very high standard. Asian night was our personal favourite. We ate twice in the a’la carte restaurant and the meals there were superb. My husband celebrated his 70th Birthday during the stay. We went to guest services to book the Flavour restaurant in the main family area of the resort, and to have the table decorated. This was very easy to do. When we arrived for the meal, the table looked lovely. Again the food was superb. We spent time every day in the chill out area, relaxing in the hammocks. Very therapeutic. We also booked a couples massage at the spa. The spa is very clean and the staff are friendly. It was one of the best massages we have ever experienced. We did have an issue with the hairdryer not working one evening. We reported it to reception at 5:30pm and by 5:50pm the electrician had been and resolved the problem. Brilliant service! The whole resort is beautiful and kept pristine. We did venture down to the beach on a couple of occasions. Finally we would like to thank the following members of staff for making our holiday one to remember for a long time to come. Anna-Maria, Lucretzia, Carlos, Eleanora, Valentina, Ansumana and Victoria in the Private Lodge buffet/restaurant and AnnaMaria and Sylvia from the pool bar. Not forgetting Carmine in the Private Lodge bar who quickly got to know our favourite tipple of an evening and came to our table with our drinks almost as soon as we had sat down! We highly recommend the Private Lodge area for a relaxing time with no hassle from anyone, with the option of going to the family area whenever you wish for a change of atmosphere or to enjoy the entertainment. Roll on September next year!!!

Genuine review that has been written across a few days whilst being here... Arrived approx 11am to A-Z desks in the car park for wristbands and a map, then had to queue again to check in at reception. (Use the app to pre fill in details) Pretty chaotic with 3 or 4 full coaches of people. Suitcases everywhere and whisked away so remember to take out valuables and what you need as rooms are not ready for 3/4 hours. Very hot when we arrived, even shorts and tshirt were too much to wear. Finally got into our room for a shower and change of clothes about 3.30pm. Block 4, 3rd floor, no lift working and someone stuck inside first day. Just grateful our suitcases were waiting in the room as promised already. The lift took a few days to get fixed but was still intermittent often just breaking down. On our 5th day we actually got stuck in the lift ourselves. Luckily I managed to work out how to unclip the door and release us. The door was heavy and hurt our arms as it automatically shut again. We had rung the alarm whilst I was working out how to get out, and someone came however the staff member did not even ask if we were OK, didn't make eye contact or even acknowledge that I had released the door. She was just stood looking at her phone. We reported this to reception and their response was "oh it happens all the time". Absolutely no concern for our welfare. The lift issue also resulted in when we left, having to carry 4 suitcases down 3 blocks of stairs as despite their promises to help us, the phone in the room didn't work and no one arrived. Food is good but repetitive. Deserts however are non existent, you get a choice of 2 cakes or ice cream. Adults only part of the Magico restaurant is well sign posted but is often ignored with family's again and again sitting there with kids so what is the point?! We only saw 1 waiter ask a family to leave once which was frustrating. Trattoria had the best staff and service. Trattoria restaurant good, Flavour restaurant is just some tables and chairs set outside next to the kids disco... Not at all romantic or nice to be bombarded with wasps, mosquitos and bugs whilst trying to eat with Again, super loud music. In all seriousness, bring ear defenders for the younger kids because Manchester Arena would be proud of their sound systems! A lot of the waiters don't acknowledge you or make eye contact. Even when you say thank you. Others will walk round pretending to be busy but ignoring plates that need moving or will only take 1 at a time. In Magico, we witnessed a restaurant manager making one of the staff cry and he knew we'd seen and tried to cover it by coming to speak to us by saying enjoy your meal, however wasn't genuinely interested. He then stormed off. Drinks machines are questionable and pool bar self service is covered in wasps so not accessible. There needs to be daily checks to ensure the syrup and soda are working properly and taste right. Entertainment is far too loud

Wow, this place is amazing, we stayed in the Private Lodge and it was certainly worth it. Adult only pool fabulous but as I have mobility issues and my confidence has gone I just sat in the shallow area. I can't use the ladder steps in the pool so would suggest that perhaps steps with a handrail gradually going into the pool would be good. Food was delicious, fresh, good variety and plentiful. Rooms very good . I can't fault this holiday venue, was sad to leave and would definitely go back.
