This Holiday Inn Express is a dump, every other Holiday Inn Express has been great except this one and apparently management oversight doesn't care as this is another very similar review from others that did not care much for this hotel. Filthy, had to change rooms due to the mold and mildew in the bathroom shower and the sewer odor on the floor. New room on a different floor was slightly cleaner until you see all the hair on the bathroom floor and no fan, after a 1 hot shower, the ceiling is dripping with water. Bought clorex wipes to clean the area. Found a dirty shirt from a previous guest on the floor underneath an ottoman. $22/night for parking is a ripoff and the gate to get into the lot is broke. The entry door in the back near the parking lot, that is supposed to open with your room card, is propped open night and day, must be broke and can be a security issue. Stairwell had trash in it. Couldn't wait to be out of the room.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed, but the location is great. I could smell ********* when I walked into the property. I didn't smell it in my room, but the hall way. All amenities were missing, and a box of Kleenex was also out in the room, so I asked for it right after my check in around 4pm. The front gave me amenities, and said Kleenex was out, but it’s been ordered previously, so it will be supplied on the following day. I kept asking the Kleenex everyday, but it never supplied. Later in the evening, I noticed the back of the restroom door had a lady's swimsuit(of course it's still wet) along with an one-piece dress...I removed it using a towel, but there was no trash removal for 3nights, 4days, no room cleaning, just added few amenities on the third day.

This is a pretty decent hotel. It is much better than the Hilton Garden Inn we previously stayed in down the street. We initially reserved a studio with 2 queen beds, but got upgraded to a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite. My kids were beyond excited because they got their own room, TV and bathroom. My husband appreciated the private bath and corner view with plenty of windows. It was VERY spacious. Our room was listed as having a king bed, but it seemed more like a queen. The pillows and mattresses were not very comfortable, which was disappointing. The bathrooms were clean. The bedrooms were fine, but a bit dusty. The kitchen/living areas were not as clean. The sofa was pilled up and had blonde hairs on it. The kitchen cabinets, stove, table, chairs and fridge had smudges and fingerprints on them, which I found a bit gross. Although there was a full kitchen, there weren't any cleaning supplies aside from a meager roll of cheap paper towels. No dish detergent. No disinfectant spray. Luckily, we didn't really need to use the kitchen. At one point, we used 2 forks and a bowl, so I called the front desk for some detergent and they brought me dishwasher pods which we didn't use. I bought Clorox wipes at the CVS down the street to clean up and left the bowl and forks rinsed off in the sink for housekeeping to wash. Despite these shortcomings, we will most likely stay here again. We'll just be better prepared. Also, be aware that the parking is first come, first serve. We parked and walked to our destinations, which was very easy since the hotel is right on Forbes Ave.

Hampton Inn Pittsburgh/Greentree I apologize in advance for the lengthy review but I needed to warn other people about this place, specially Hilton Members that time and time again bring business to the brand with our stays. If I could leave 0 star I would, this hotel left something to be desired. I really don't understand how they have 4 stars on Google, all I can think of is managment encouraging their employees, friends and families to write bogus reviews to raise their score. I really don't want to believe a Hilton brand would stoop so low but then again this hotel seem to be run by very rude and unprofessional people so I can't rule anything out. The property was old and outdated. Now I'm not super picky about things like that but when my room smells horrible and the ceiling in the bathroom on top of the tub is cracking and pieces of drywall are falling on me while showering, well that's when we have a problem. I understand a building being outdated but maintenance should never ever fall behind, especially in a Hilton brand. As a Hilton Diamond member that has stay with the brand everytime I travel domestically or internationally, this is not what I have come to expect from them. On top of that the staff was extremely unhelpful, rude and unwelcoming. They all seem like they did not want to be there and were all having the worst day according to their body language and behavior towards the guest. I was traveling with my partner and she's a god damn saint and didn't want to bother anyone or get anyone in trouble, she told me it was just a 3 nights stay and to just let it go, so I didn't say anything while we were there. Now the last drop came when we arrived home and I sat down, and went to check the receipt from the hotel(side note-I usually don't check my Hilton stay receipts till a couple days after check out, but this people did not inspired any confidence in me). I am glad I checked because there was a $267 cleaning fee attached. I immediately called the hotel but the agent said he didn't know what that cleaning fee meant so I had to call back the next day in the morning to speak with his manager Rebecca. I called the next day in the morning and asked to speak with Rebecca, they send me to her voice-mail, so I got tired of being thrown around like a god damn ball and decided to call the diamond desk. They contacted the hotel and put me through to talk to someone(this person was not the manager Rebecca, it was a front desk agent) The lady said the Cleaning Fee was for smoking. Now I was really pissed, I have ashtma and obviously do not smoke at all, and my partner does not smoke either, she doesn't even drink. I explained that it was not possible that we could have smoke in that room and asked what proved they had to make that statement and charge me a fee without even notifying me before leaving the hotel, all the lady said was that it smelled like someone smoked. I reiterated that it was not possible and she kept saying the same thing. A

Stayed for two nights. Sept 23/24 2022. Room 1621 The TV doesn't get half the channels it's supposed to and the ones it gets are pixelated or fuzzy. Unacceptable. The remote doesn't work even if the TV did (only has UP channel). Unacceptable. The refrigerator doesn't get cold even turned up all the way. Unacceptable. I went to look for ice and had to got to three separate floors to find an ice machine that worked. Unacceptable. I attempted to contact the desk. No answer after many.many attempts both on hotel phone system and through customer service. Unacceptable upon unacceptable. There also NO signage or info anywhere that indicates what checkout time is. With no way to contact anyone, the only way to find out is to walk down to front desk and ask. Unacceptable. There is garbage, literally ROTTING GARBAGE, laying in the vending/ice rooms, and in the elevator lobbies. This is WAY past unacceptable for a doubletree. I've stayed at these before and only slight problem I've had was a billing issue that was handled efficiently. The room was clean and, while not brand new, I found it acceptable for the size and age of the facility. I attempted to file a complaint via the Hilton corporate site, the CAPTCHA keeps saying not verified. My only recourse is just to leave negative feedback and move on.

This place was extremely clean, had many amenities such as complimentary designer toiletries, tea bottle opener, wine glasses and of course the clawfoot bathtub. One would say it was easy to forget this unit even had a rain tile large walk in shower. The only down side I would say, the hotel does not have a front desk so everything is all virtual, a little different than the traditional check in, however if I would have read prior to booking the process would have been extremely painless. The supper staff over the phone were tremendously helpful.

I always start a review with the positives. I also don't like to be part of the problem but part of the solution and try to always offer helpful suggestions if I make a valid complaint. That said... The room at the Holiday Inn PIT Airport was PRETTY clean. I saw dark, long hairs on the bathroom floor (my hair is short and blonde,) and in the tub which led me to think the bathroom wasn't clean. However, the toilet and sink were seemingly wiped down and plenty of towels were accessible. The beds are comfy, the rooms are large, and we appreciate the outdoor pool in the warmer months. My husband and I stay here quite often, as many as 4 times a year or more, often with a multi-night stay, and we enjoy using the pool. The location for us is convenient to restaurants, shopping and the airport. Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport in general meets our needs. The breakfast is very good. Lots of a variety of hot foods and coffee. The waitstaff is always helpful in bringing out supplies, refilling coffee, hot food, a ”to go” bag if needed, etc. That all said, there is this very heavy set MEAN blonde lady with glasses that makes us cower and cringe each time we enter the hotel. We DON'T want to ask her for anything as she ALWAYS makes us feel like we are BOTHERING her. She seems to work the day shift, from early morning til 3 p.m. or so, as we have noticed and we try to make my requests and ask questions AFTER she is gone for the day. How ridiculous is this?!! Case in point: During one particular stay, I asked for more bars of soap for our room. I prefer bar soap. I shouldn't have to feel ”sheepish” about asking. They are mini and not full-sized bars of soap. We usually stay an average of 3 nights when we come to town and the hubs and i prefer bar soap to the bodywash and need more than one teensy bar for the two of us between the shower and sink for 3 days of usage. Get this one....She told us to use the bodywash in the containers on the shower wall and asked us if we had checked to see if the container of body wash was full!!!?? She seems to like to provoke an ARGUMENT! Then she preceded to tell us how she was instructed to hand out the minimum as in the case of the soap. I was thinking: ” Lady, please just open the drawer behind you and give us the dang soap!!” It's NOT a difficult request. I'm thinking: What happened to the old adage, ”The customer is always right?” The staff certainly should not ARGUE with the customer. A hotel front desk clerk works in the hospitality business and should provide the customer with ”hassle free” service. NOT! We don't ask for much. We don't ask for the room to be serviced with fresh towels, etc. during our usual 2 to 3 night stay. Was asking for mini bars of soap too difficult of a request? Today in our hotel room, I went to wash my hands after leftovers from an early lunch (around 11:00 a.m.,) to find that there was NO WATER. It had obviously been shut off. Why? We called the front desk to find out what happene

Ddevin998Very very good hotel, very new and new, relying only on the PPG building, the real downtown, and the environment is very good. The rooms are tall, clean, hygienic and well-heated. The kitchen supplies are good. Will choose this hotel next time, the price is very high, I strongly recommend everyone to choose.

WWENLUThe location is particularly good. If the weather is good, I feel that I can walk to most places. I can go straight to lyft and get cheap. Pittsburgh has bad traffic. In this place, it is more worry-free to drive others than to drive. I feel that the service is very good, but the first The shortcoming of the tripartite reservation is that a lot of services can't be enjoyed. If you apply for a member directly, you will have more free services. If you go online, you only have free low-speed traffic. If you are at high speed, you can reduce 10 knives, which is 5 knives per day. Not expensive! The lobby is really good! There is a free apple at the front desk and a variety of fruit soaking water every day! The room is a bit small, the air conditioning is very good, the water pressure is also very good, the bed is very comfortable! But Ctrip is really cheap, and the US website has a tax of more than 10%!

ZZhenzhujijuxieIn a moderately priced hotel, the bed is not made and cleaned every day. If you want new towels or sanitary products the next day, you can ask the front desk and they will be delivered in time. The room is big enough, the sound insulation is not good, the advantage is that it is close to Pittsburgh. There are discounts for accommodation and breakfast, but there is no breakfast at the nearby Starbucks. If there is not enough parking space at the entrance, you can park in the opposite parking lot, and the hotel will pay for it for you. All in all it was good, no inconvenience.

GGuest UserBased on my recent stay at Crowne Plaza Suites Pittsburgh South, I am conflicted about this rating. It might be more accurate at four stars for service, three stars for the hotel itself. Here’s why. About four stars for service . . . When I initially called the hotel or additional information after checking out their website, a front desk representative named Nico was extremely helpful. He took the time to provide details, listened to my specific needs and set up an appropriate reservation for me at a decent price. Good start! Upon my evening arrival, I found that the room included everything we had discussed. Many thanks to Nico for his assistance. Other front desk staff members were helpful during the stay. The name Kayla sticks in my mind. (No one asked me to write this review or mention names.) The three stars? A very average room in need of an update, difficult climate control, a worn mattress, cumbersome pillows, and a previously disclosed lack of food service. They also only do housekeeping twice a week. Clean towels are available upon request. Don’t get hungry here on a Monday or Tuesday, when the onsite restaurant is closed. Even when dining reopened on Wednesday morning, only a continental breakfast buffet (carb central!) was available. My guess? Staff shortages and/or no profitability. I wasn’t there later in the day. There is a tiny store in the lobby for a few packaged snacks and beverages. The hotel is centrally located for anyone visiting Bethel Park or Upper Saint Clair, with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The room had adequate space with a decent TV. A little card listed all the channels. The inexpensive, thin carpeting was worn. Chairs had old, spotted upholstery. The room itself was clean, with the usual appointments. The mattress edges had been weakened over time, making it easy to slip off when sitting on the side of the bed. Have you ever seen the huge, poly-fill pillows used in some hotels, the ones that look good on the fully-made bed but are too bulky to sleep on comfortably? Yup, those pillows. Enough said. Climate control in the room was accessed through a thermostat on the wall rather than the unit itself . . . with confusing buttons and no instructions. It was either too warm in the room or freezing. In addition, the air flow from the unit curled refrigerated air toward the ceiling, down the opposite wall and then straight onto the bed. Would I stay there again? Maybe, but only for a fully updated room at a good price. Advice: bring your own pillows.

GGuest UserReally good location, just a few minutes walk from a very nice part of town. The hotel is very modern and comfortable with lovely amenities, including a pool and gym. Breakfast was generous although missing some bits, we were very happy. The room itself was very comfy and although the bedding wasn’t the nicest, it was very clean. I will say the area itself felt a little sketchy at night and we were concerned about the car, but all was fine. It was very different by day!

GGuest UserDuring our stay at Hyatt House, we unfortunately had a negative experience with regards to the cleanliness of the facilities. We would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here in the future. Though the staff was as helpful as possible, we were re-assigned rooms and were met with the same sub-par conditions. Our first room seemed to not have received a cleaning following the previous stay. The floor and surface areas were dirty, the floor was sticky with crumbs, dust and other debris. The couch had a significant blood stain on one of the cushions and upon further review we found additional staining all over. The front desk associates were helpful in getting us reassigned to a new room. Here, we were met with continued concerns on the cleanliness of the rooms. Though we certainly understand these rooms are typically for longer stays, we were really disappointed and would not recommend staying here.

NNixonThe staff here was amazing! I booked the studio apartment and it was not that clean, it felt like i was living in someone else’s apartment while they were away for the weekend. There were bed bugs in the studio and once i notified the front desk they were quick to move me to another apartment with updated amenities.

GGuest UserPerfect location if you are attending an event in the North Shore area! You step outside of the hotel and are right outside of the People’s Gate for PNC Park or 10 minute walk to Lombardi. We came for a show at Stage AE & were so happy about the quick walk to and from the venue. Additionally, you can quickly walk down by the river or take a stroll into downtown. Breakfast in the morning is one of the best services I have had at an RI. The man who sets up the service is a straight hustler & makes sure everything is top tier (sausage patties were delicious). Everything was fresh and hot. If you are parking in the lot, watch out for nails. There is a construction site across the street and we left the parking lot with 2 nails in our tires. (Note we stayed Nov 2023) Just want to say Julian at the front desk was so nice! Extremely knowledgeable about the area.

GGuest UserThe rooms were clean spacious, included a kitchenette, and well cared for. The staff were all friendly and accomodating, including the desk intake, the breakfast help and room cleaners. We stayed four days and I was sorry to leave.

GGuest UserI stayed here for like 2 weeks out of nowhere they decided to ban me. Probably because I kept staying on points and calling customer service to make them do their jobs ha. When I asked the reason I was ban she said my kids were rubbing the halls in the middle of the night which was a whole lie, my kids were in bed af 9/10 every night because they had school. But don’t come here It’s unkept and gross and they act like your parents telling you that you can’t have guests in your room and they make sure whoever is on the reservation is all that’s allowed in the pool! Not worth the money you pay. They need to be free.
