We are staying here right now and have to say that this Inn is amazing. We had a wonderful warm welcome and everyone has been friendly and helpful. The room is very comfortable with a superking size bed plus another single if needed. Two sofas and spacious. The view of the river from the bedroom is stunning. The food is delicious, from the breakfast to the evening meals. This is a very popular place for good reason. We heartily recommend this Inn and will definitely return!

What a delightful stay we had. The location is beautiful, right on the river and were fortunate enough to be able to sit outside. From the moment we entered, to the time we left, the service was excellent with the host greeting us and looking after us throughout our stay. The room was lovely (room 4 the tilt), far nicer than many 4 star hotels we have stayed in. There was thoughtful things too, like extra tea coffee etc outside. Spotlessly clean throughout and lovely Arran Aromatic toiletries too. I would highly recommend this hotel, no one could be disappointed.

We’ve just checked out of this lovely hotel after spending a night enjoying a superb dinner, comfy sleep & and tasty breakfast. The welcome we received on arrival was one of the best we’ve experienced in Scotland. Cheery greeting from everyone we encountered, offer of a drink in the bar & our bags taken up to our room as we’d arrived pretty early before check in. Every single member of the team here is a delight & a real asset to the hotel. Our room was huge with a very comfortable super king bed. The view from our room was outstanding, one of the best views we’ve had in any hotel we’ve stayed in. Dinner was very very good & breakfast too (have reviewed those separately on the restaurant page). We loved sitting in the cosy bar next to the log burner before & after dinner. It was even better as we were able to enjoy individual small bottles of rose Prosecco which are such a rare find in any bar no matter where you are! The village is small but with the lovely chocolatier & the Grandtully Hotel across the road, you can fill time quite easily. Highly recommend a stay here. We will be back in the summer to sit out & enjoy the different river view. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

We stayed 1st and 2nd September. Our room was very large, spotlessly clean with views over the River Tay rapids. Breakfast and evening meal were both outstanding. Everyone made us feel very welcome and the hotel team worked like a well oiled machine. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Another wonderful annual visit to a place we absolutely love. The delightful owners Geoff and Josie are very hands on and so friendly and welcoming, as are all the lovely staff. Many like Christina, our lovely breakfast lady and Becky in the office have been at the Inn since we started visiting many years ago. Our bedroom was spacious, spotless and has everything you need provided. Really comfortable bed and we always sleep soundly. All our meals were delicious and the produce is sourced locally where possible. An absolute standout this visit was the fish platter, which we both had as starters each night. Delicious and such a treat! Breakfast another highlight and served in The Coorie with its panoramic views of The Tay. Wonderful location overlooking the Grandtully Rapids. Great base to explore scenic Perthshire with the pretty towns of Dunkeld, Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl within easy reach. We love walking and recommend the Loch Freuchie circuit at Amulree, the Fiddlers Walk, Dunkeld and at Blair Atholl , Glen Tilt and Glen Banvie walks - all special and hardly another soul in sight! Thanks to everyone at the Inn for making another visit enjoyable and look forward to another visit during 2024.

All the family celebrated my Mother’s ‘Special Birthday’ with three nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at The Inn on the Tay. Our stay exceeded all expectations with every aspect of our wee holiday being excellent. The genuinely warm welcome and professional service from everyone who works there was greatly appreciated. We immediately all felt very relaxed. We all loved our spacious comfortable rooms with river views; we could easily have stayed longer. Every meal was first class, especially the Special Celebratory Dinner created by the chefs for my mother’s birthday. The scallops we ate that night were the best I’ve ever enjoyed! The family owned Inn on Tay is a refreshingly unpretentious yet first class small hotel with a wonderfully warm atmosphere; something not often easy to find. Combining all this with its ideal setting, it’s a place we look forward to visiting together again.

Six came for lunch on a dull, wet Friday hungry and thirsty after a drizzly hill walk . We were warmly welcomed at the door and shown into the bar to wait for the rest of the party. All the staff were friendly , chatty and informative. Our lunch was delicious, especially the Pie of the Day which was very popular and worth the short wait. When we left we all commented on how much we had enjoyed the experience, and unfortunately how rare it is to find somewhere that is getting everything right, ambience, surroundings, staff , service and food.

Staff are friendly and provide great service. Fish platter starter was beautifully presented & tasty. Exceptionally good pie of the day. The views of the rapids gives this place an exceptional setting, highly recommended.

What a delight. Amazing food. Beautiful view of the rushing river below. Doggie friendly and the most heart warming care and hospitality. From the second we entered we were greeted like old friends, including Maddy our Terrier. The Korean Chicken wings are lip smackingly tasty ... and the rib eye cooked to perfection ... cauliflower bites were packed with flavour ... yummy!! Highly recommend ... be sure to book ahead ... it's popular with locals and holidayers
