Hotel Mall Palace

I had booked this property through Agoda. After few days from my booking, I started receiving emails & texts from Agoda stating that I need to pay 50% advance to confirm the booking because of high demand. Rest of the payment can be made at the property. Contact from which I was receiving these communications: Arun - 7983717578 I did the payment and a confirmation of same was shared with me. Now begins the real fun: I am checking out from hotel and owner claims he never received the advance. I mentioned booking and advance is done through Agoda. Now owner starts dialing the Agoda contact, after repeated dialing he mentions I could not connect to this person, so you need to make full payment. I mentioned to him and that it is between Agoda & Hotel to sort this out, but he rejected that and instead gave me the Agoda contact to follow up later. Hilarious!! Agoda contact hotel shared with me Phone Number – 9258267017 Since I did not want to jeopardize my further trip, I made the Payment and left. Later I did a conference call between hotel owner and Agoda contact hotel provided me, on that call both of them talked in thin air, half of the conversation didn't even make any sense. Few hours later from there hotel owner and his Agoda contact, both stopped taking my calls. Later I constantly followed up with contact to whom I made initial advance, but the guy kept fooling around too. I have been booking properties from Agoda since very long but never had such a awful experience. This hotel crook is teaming up with local lads to extract amounts such as 500, 900 rupees. This makes me laugh sometimes. On similar trip, I had another booking from Agoda of huge amount and it went perfectly fine.

Average stay in this hotel, this property is located near pithoragarh roadway bus station. There is a rooftop restaurant in this hotel, The rooms are not very clean even though I saw cockroaches in the room( it was not a major problem for me as I stay solo) but with family I will surely avoid it. Room terrif average, you can negotiate while direct booking
