The hotel is located in the immediate outskirts of Pistoia, in an area where - these days - a large number of buildings are undergoing. The level of service is very low, attention to the clients neglectable. The room - I had a suite not in main building - very basic. Furnitures quite cheap, small windows, bathroom with no windows at all. The bed was large and comfortable. No noise reduction so that for inside the room you can clearly listen speeches in the corridor and viceversa. No decent air conditioning system. Breakfast minimal, little choice, industrial products. I will never go there again.

I visited here with a group to see the Puccini Opera Festival. The hotel is spotlessly clean with lovely staff and a great pool. Breakfasts were excellent - wide choice, fruits, cooked eggs, meats etc and plenty of it. My only cavil was with the first set evening’s meal - a miserable chicken leg and a few chips. However our tour guide did complain and the second set meal was excellent. This complaint seems to have been given before - and not always heeded. Villa Capuggi is such a nice hotel that I wonder why they stint sometimes - even though the cost of living crisis impacts here too. Just a little more luxury and this would be the perfect Italian hotel.

I came here with tour group. The rooms were okay, no dressing table and space to put things, wardrobe to high I couldn't reach the coat hangers. The room was cleaned each day. But the food was awful. Very tasteless and bland, no choice given. The swimming pool was lovely , but you must wear a swim hat, which the hotel sell for 3 Euro, towels are 3 Euro each time you have a clean one. I found it a quiet hotel.

Travelled on solos holiday with Just You. Rooms are good size and well appointed and hotel facilities are good. Many of the guests were Italians and they had separate dining facilities with much better food. Pool was not open in September despite brochure stating that it should have been. Nice staff.

This is a lovely hotel within 20 minutes easy walk of Pistoia, where there are lots of restaurants and bars as well as interesting places to visit. The rooms are a good and the staff are friendly. The problem is the food, which was bland boring and tasteless. We were on an organised trip, so the issue may be the tour operator cutting costs, but lots of reasonably priced restaurants in Pistoia.

We come back every year but we are very sorry to have noticed a deterioration in the restaurant and swimming pool services. The fish dishes were bland and the bread served not fresh. Breakfast room all crammed with closed windows and bad coffee from the vending machines. At 8.30 for two consecutive mornings we are awakened by the deafening noise of the pool lawn mower despite having pointed out that some guests sleep until 9.30 / 10. The pool water does not seem to recycle very well and internally appears cloudy. There is no assistance or lifeguard for children so anyone can dive into discomfort for other people or not wear a swimming cap. The mattresses of the beds were all very dirty and stained and unfortunately did not give a reassuring idea of hygiene and cleanliness. I hope these observations can help the property to increase the level of attention and not to neglect fundamental aspects for a 4 star hotel. We will not return to this hotel and actually do not recommend it.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff really shone here, always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean and well cared for, the pool area was great with a good choice of drinks and snacks at the bar. We ate in the restaurant twice during our stay and really enjoyed the selection of local wines and traditional dishes. The creme brulee was a particular highlight! The view from our room was lovely, we would happily stay here again.
