Beautiful resort, delicious breakfast buffet. Great suite with nice view. Can’t wait to come back. Next time I will book half board.

This was our third visit to the Columbia Beach. We love so many aspects about the hotel, but the stand out ones for us are the staff, the Freeform pool ( never feels busy as it’s so large) and the west sides architecture and village feel. The food is also outstanding with generous portions and the best half board options of any hotel we’ve come across. The suites are very comfortable and most of the upgrade charges are for the different outlooks, like sea view, garden view, inland view etc, rather than added amenities. We had a small issue with our room on arrival and were very quickly moved to a different room that was actually an upgrade, this is the sort of thing that makes the Columbia beach special. All the staff genuinely seem to want to make your stay as relaxing as possible with no request too much to ask. We came in mid September and had no problems whatsoever securing sunbeds even late morning, although on a previous visit in July this was trickier, but the pool boys are only too happy to sort some out for you. The Freeform pool on the west side is kept as a quiet pool and games and more boisterous children are directed to the other pool on the east side. This made for a truly peaceful relaxing stay. One request please, can you provide mint tea in the room, I asked but was informed it wasn’t an option. We will definitely return.

Parents + 3 kids (8.5, 6, 2.5). We tool the 1 bedroom family room in the east wing. Was really amazing - the service and the staff, the pools, the beach, the food, the drinks. A real dreamy vacation. Food and drinks a bit expensive, but like in all other resorts in the area. Also, if you don't want to stay in the hotel all the time, the area around it is fab and the village has really nice (and relatively cheap) places to eat in a more local-culture style restaurants. The only thing that surprised me was that drinking water cost money everywhere, as I expected it to be free (restaurants, bars, etc.).

We have just returned from a 2-night stay at Columbia Beach Resort for our anniversary and had a wonderful stay. We will certainly be returning again. We stayed in a ground-floor Executive Suite and it was absolutely beautiful. I have to limit my venturing at the moment due to pregnancy and staying in such a fantastic room made that very easy to do. Our water, coffees, shower gels etc. were regularly topped up in our room so we never went without (something that we have often found an issue in other hotel stays). We ordered breakfast to our room one morning which was delicious and received a complimentary bottle of prosecco for my husband to toast our anniversary and a box of chocolates for myself. We had treatments in the spa and I had the best pregnancy massage I've had! We ate at the Apollo Tavern both evenings and our meals were delicious (and huge) and the staff were great with my allergies. We also had cuddles with cats who wander around the grounds, which was really lovely to see how the staff accept the cats as a part of the furniture so to speak. The resort was quiet so we never struggled to find somewhere to relax - the perks of a winter break! I must shout out Maria, the Guest Services Manager, who made our stay so much more special. When I emailed the hotel to ask for assistance with arranging breakfast in bed for our anniversary, she not only arranged the complimentary prosecco and chocolates with our breakfast, but also upgraded us to a bigger, ground floor room (perfect for my pregnant feet) and allowed us late checkout on our last day so that we could enjoy the facilities for longer. We bumped into her in the lobby on our second day and she gave us the warmest welcome - she is such an asset to the hotel. That being said, every staff member was helpful and friendly during our stay!

We were looking for a special place to spend our honeymoon and the Columbia Beach Resort came highly recommended by some friends. We were not disappointed. From the time we arrived to the time we checked out we had an amazing time. The suites are elegantly arranged around the main pool. There is a grassed area and a private area on the beach with loungers. With 3 restaurants and 7 bars you are not short of places to go. All the staff are polite, extremely helpful and can’t do enough to please you. Nothing appears too much trouble. The rooms are luxurious and well appointed. If it’s a week away on retreat or a special occasion as it was with us, this is the place to come. I do not have a bad word to say about it. P.S. I have never had such an amazing breakfast!
