Ocean Palms Motel

The motel was a little pleasantly surprised. The bedding was very clean. When I came in, I found that the bed had folded two white swans with a towel. And the location is good, just found out after checking out, you can see the beach in front of the hotel, very close. But the front desk charged a 5.65 service fee, saying that it must be charged for booking hotels online. And the old man at the front desk looked a little bad

This is a very nice hotel but much better suited to families than a couple looking for quiet. The rooms are set very close and surrounding the pool so there’s a lot of noise on the weekends. (I have no issue with kids - this was my lack of due diligence reading former reviews.) Also having just come from an ocean view hotel in Santa Barbara which was as nice or nicer tan this one, we feel the hotel is highly overpriced.

The food was not good. There were other guests smoking ********* both nights we stayed and the smoke lingered into our room. I was very disappointed that the hotel staff did not intervene and implement the no smoking policy they have posted all over the hotel. There were a lot of children staying at the hotel, it’s unfortunate that they had to be there with all of that smoke down halls across from the pool.

The hotel is located on a beautiful seaside, surrounded by mountains and sea. The scenery is beautiful. The service at the front desk is friendly. Free coffee and snacks are provided in the lobby. Free parking is available. The free breakfast is simple, but delicious fruits are also provided.

Grand mothers day celebration. 2 bedroom ocean front suite - superior. Daughter's family with two young grandsons enjoyed the pool and grass area and brunch (kids meal). Surprised by other daughter making a trip from Austin to celebrate with us. Patrick Corbo at the front desk was excellent, even though they said we could check in early and when we got to the room it was still being cleaned. Mathew took great care of our luggage and car. This is our fifth ”staycation” at that property and it just gets better and better. How do they do it?
Motel 6 Pismo Beach, CA

we check d into the hotel and check in went smooth. I ask the front desk if they had an elevator to take luggage up and he said no, but he would give us a room close to the stairs, which was fine. I opened the door with my key and entered the room and the word smell hit. I went into the bathroom to check it out and their was hair not only in the shower, but in the window seal. I went to pick up the phone to call the front desk and the cord to the phone was broken so I could not use the phone. I called on my cell phone and told him what the problem was and he said that house keeping had gone home for the day. I ask so what are you going to do, he finally sent someone to clean the room. She came to clean the bathroom and we had to leave the room while she cleaned it. We came back in and the pillow case on the pillow was dirty, there were no extra covers, the bathroom only had bath and hand towels no face towels, no iron etc. The bottom line is, if you want to stay in a dump then stay here. No more Motel 6 for me.
