Cozy, modern, clean and with the ocean breeze once you step outside. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking essentials. The staff was very friendly. Dog friendly and provided doggy bags through the property.The towels and linens were crisp and clean.

you’re looking for a lowkey coastal stay that hits that sweet spot between cozy and vibey, The Tides Oceanview Inn & Cottages in Pismo is a solid move. I stayed for a quick getaway and honestly, the ocean views alone are worth the price of admission. You wake up, crack open that patio door, and boom—sea breeze and sunrise like nature meant it. The whole spot gives off laid-back beach town energy. It’s not doing the most, and that’s kinda the charm. The rooms were clean, simple, and had that vintage feel without feeling rundown. Not super fancy, but definitely comfy. I stayed in one of the cottages and loved having a little kitchen setup and space to just chill. Perfect for kicking back after a beach day or grabbing takeout and posting up. Staff was super friendly—genuinely helpful, not fake-nice. Parking was easy, beach was walkable, and downtown Pismo was just a few blocks out if you wanted to grab a bite or hit the pier. Also, shoutout to them for being pet-friendly, because bringing my dog along made the trip feel complete. Would I stay again? 100%. If you’re after a relaxed, no-drama ocean escape, this one’s got the juice.

The room was okay. I have to leave my review and expectations based on the price of the room ($111 per night). The sleeping area and bathroom are pretty small. No housekeeping service unless it’s requested. No one told us that so we were wondering why our room wasn’t cleaned. Only when I went to the front desk was I told it’s “upon request “. So, I had to take out my own trash and ask for clean towels. Lots of freeway noise, but that’s no fault of the hotel. Just be aware of that. Location is great. Just a few minutes to the pier and downtown area. Front desk staff were super nice. Parking is plentiful. The bed is horrible. Probably the cheapest mattress you can get. My back was in pain every morning when I got up. The only microwave oven is at the front office. None in the room. The tiny in-room refrigerator was adequate. Would I stay there again???? Probably yes, but I’d bring my memory foam mattress topper with me. Again, I had an “okay” stay based on the price.

Stayed one night here while the rest of the family camped. Staff was very friendly, beds extremely comfortable and the room very clean. Very nice furnishings in the room including small refrigerator, large TV and coffee fixings. Great views of the ocean and restaurant right next door. Would definitely stay here again, great find!

Had a wonderful time at this place. It was pictured as advertised. We stayed in the 2queen beds even though there was only 2 of us. Beach access is two vlos away down the stairs. It’s walkable to the main downtown area by beach access or down the main road. Only negative comment was the bathroom smelled musty. Maybe leave the door open for the next guests. Parking is easy.

Amazing And clean we had a great time with upstairs private deck for a great price. We will be coming back with our kids in the next few weeks. Would highly recommend it’s also right next to the beach and there is downtown with many places to eat, bowling, arcade, billiards, and the famous splash restaurant cafe with famous clam chowder
