My partner, our 10 month-old baby and I arrived at this hotel on Sunday July 3rd. Check-in was friendly, we were briefed on things to do, breakfast, etc. As soon as we got to the room I realized we hadn't been given any information about the pool. As the pool was the main reason we booked the hotel, my partner returned to the reception. Unfortunately, he came back empty-handed. Much to our surprise, hotel owner Marco said not only that we had to pay €15 per person (access for couple of hours if not too crowded) but also and above all that our baby was not allowed in the pool (!) because: "Do you know what it costs to have the pool cleaned should your baby have a full diaper (?!)". I couldn't believe my ears. Such a rude and incomprehensible behavior and this for a hotel owner no less. Should this have been mentioned upon making the reservation, it goes without saying that we would never have booked this hotel (12h travel is no fun with a 10-month-old baby). I told him I disagreed and showed him that none of this was stated while making the booking. Instead of acting like a proper hotel owner and apologizing for the misunderstanding, his behavior kept getting worse. He literally told us: "that's what happens when you book through *********** and not on our website". Who knows why he puts his hotel on *********** in the first place... Instead of apologizing and allowing us in the pool (with baby & without fees!), he stood firm that this was an issue between *********** & us. We didn't want to stay here for a minute longer and immediately left back home after a 12-hour outward journey. What that man (unworthy of the name hotel-owner) did to our family is unforgivable. Instead of taking this as a miscommunication between him & ***********, he argued with us, his customers no less, at the reception (in front of other customers) for a mistake on his side and ruined our vacation. We immediately opened a complaint file with *********** (who were equally appalled by such behavior) and were refunded 3 nights out of 4. In terms of customer friendliness, this hotel scores a 0/10.
