A little out of the way. VERY steep climb to the hotel - taxi needed unless you are very fit. Fine walking down. Hotel was spotless couldn't fault it at all. Slight issue with tea & coffee in the room. Couldn't plug kettle in without it being on the floor - could maybe do with a small table near the plug?? Only 1 normal tea bag and 1 fruit t bag for 2 people staying. Had to ask for extra t bags, spoon and milk-wasn't supplied in the room. Breakfast was good-not a massive choice but what was there was very high quality and was replenished regularly. The hotel it self was affiliated with a restaurant in town which we went to twice-amazing food and service. Staff were very helpful-great hotel would definetely recommend and stay again.

The LBV hotel is an absolutely beautiful property. However, it is a VERY steep climb up to it from Pinhao. Unless you have a car (which is challenging to drive in this area) or want to pay for a taxi to get to a restaurant it is not convenient. I averaged 10 miles a day travelling in Europe and this climb was A LOT. I think this is the norm for the area. Hotel was a GREAT bargain but challenging to get to.

The staff at this property were outstanding. It was raining when we were there, but in good weather, the outside patios would have been lovely. It's a bit of a walk into town, but we were a group of four seniors and we managed fine. We took a cab back up to the property. After a long day of travelling, we loved the quietness that this property provided.

Great spot overall. Banilda at the front desk went above and beyond. A rainstorm leaked through some of the walls and they shifted us to another room that was a definite upgrade. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a great deck. Would love to come back.

Highly recommend Super friendly staff and very clean rooms. A bit of a walk if you want to go down to the centre of the village - but doable. Definitely worth it. Highly recommend it. Simple but good breakfast.

Perfect small peaceful hotel. This is a superb small hotel that feels well above its 3 star rating. Well appointed rooms each with a balcony giving a wonderful view over Pinhao. While a little uphill walk out of town it is worth it for the peace and tranquility. Our every need was catered to in LBV House

Don’t bother This hotel had an almost impossible carpark to enter. In fact it was quite dangerous driving in. The room was incredibly small and it did not supply tissues, shampoo, conditioner or hand cream. The staff were unhelpful and the map of the area was useless as the notations were too small to read. It was most unsatisfactory.

Wonderful location on the hillside with beautiful views of the Douro river valley. Great pool and very peaceful. Main downside with the breakfast experience. Silent room with no ambient music and the choice for breakfast limited.
