Although I only stayed for one night this time, the overall feeling was very comfortable. It is very convenient to walk to the most lively streets. It is worth recommending. The proprietress is also a well-known lacquerware artist. There are many works in the lobby of the inn, which is pleasing to the eye. Before leaving, she also gave a small jewelry box. I recommend staying here when you come to Pingyao Ancient City.

I came to Pingyao because of its reputation, but the whole ancient town was filled with homogeneous businesses, and there was nothing special about the places that could attract visitors. Only in the houses scattered in the deep alleys could I find the remaining soul of this ancient city. Being able to stay in Deyizhai was a small blessing of this trip. The small courtyard was quiet in the bustle, simple and elegant, and comfortable and livable under the careful care of the artist owner. Whether sitting quietly in the courtyard, blowing the wind, looking at the sky, or drinking tea and chatting with the lacquer art master owner, it was very pleasant. The opportunity to stay in Deyizhai this time made me inadvertently understand another artistic treasure of the motherland, polished lacquerware, and met an excellent artist. I admire her artistic style and superb skills. Deyizhai will be the only reason for me to come to Pingyao again.

A very tasteful hotel, a Ming Dynasty building. Parking was difficult, but the owner patiently guided us. The owner also has his own cultural and creative store, where I learned about the production of lacquerware. Thank you, I will definitely recommend it to my friends!

It took me a long time to decide before going to Pingyao, and I am very glad that I made the right choice. The main reason for the difficulty in choosing the B&B before was the hygiene of the B&B, the distance from the core attractions, whether it was noisy, and the distance from the gate of the ancient city. Combined with the map of the ancient city and the previous reviews of Ctrip, I was entangled for a long time. In the end, I was attracted by the small courtyard of Deyizhai, especially the picture of the bathroom, which is a rare dry and wet separation in the ancient city. And there are only six rooms in the small courtyard, so I think it won’t be too noisy. As expected, I was not disappointed. I took the initiative to call the day before check-in. Because we arrived by high-speed rail, a more reliable car was provided to pick us up at the station, and we could drive directly into the ancient city and directly to the door of the B&B. However, the driver also said that there might be restrictions on local vehicles entering the city during holidays such as May Day and National Day. Although the journey is paid, it is still good to arrive almost without walking. The small courtyard has two doors, and the courtyard structure is similar to those of the courtyards in the ancient city. It is square, and the rooms are on three sides. There are two rooms on each side, and it is very close to many core attractions, especially South Street. The gate on Huayuan Street where you parked your car, go out and walk straight on the right for a few minutes to the South Street Escort Bureau Museum. If you go out the gate in the North Lane, you will also go out on the right side of the North Lane (Figure 3) and walk a few minutes to Yamen Street, Tingyu Tower and the County Yamen. We went there at 3 pm on the first day. There were too many people queuing to enter the County Yamen, so we just sat next to them and had a cup of coffee. We got up at 7:50 the next morning and went in at 8:00 as the first wave to experience the empty County Yamen. The feeling of having fewer people was great. The environment in the courtyard is beautiful, especially when the red lanterns are lit up near dusk, which is super photogenic. The house is slightly small, which is expected, but because there are windows, the lighting is OK, and the most important thing is that the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. So in conclusion, the location is very good, 5-8 minutes walk from the core attractions, but it is also very elegant. In addition to being able to experience the authentic Pingyao courtyard style, it is not as noisy as the market on South Street. The internal facilities of homestays are naturally not comparable to star hotels, but they are also comfortable. The boss lady is an artist, and the front hall decoration is beautiful, but we were in a hurry and didn't appreciate it properly. Maybe because there are too few guest rooms, the total number of reviews must be small, so it is easy to be drowned in many homestays and difficult to distinguish. If I didn't start to dislike all the other choices, I might not be able to find it. I will recommend it to friends to come next time. ps: The paper-cutting of the kind auntie in the North Lane on the right hand side of the door is nicer than the one on Garden Street.

Service: Very satisfactory service, the innkeepers are very kind. Assisted in arranging the vehicle to enter the ancient city, and also thanked the hostess for sharing the steamed jujube. Tasting very delicious jujube in the warm sunshine and comfortable courtyard warms the heart. Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy, the toilets are all modern equipment, and there is no drainage problem or smell in the room. Highly recommended. Features: The hostess is a master of lacquerware art and crafts, and there are many lacquerware artworks in the inn.

A very, very good B&B, especially the lady boss, who was very considerate. She knew we brought two children with her, so she contacted the driver to pick us up at the high-speed rail station and sent us directly to the door of the B&B. It was great. She also prepared fireworks sticks for the children at night, and the children had a lot of fun. Not only did she give them free maps, but she also drew a tour map for us. The lady boss's own house is a B&B, which is very carefully decorated and has a good location. It is in the center and not far from anywhere. I like this small courtyard the most. It is quiet and comfortable. I also gave a small gift made by hand when I left. It is highly recommended.
