The courtyards and the buildings are just breathtaking, it feels like sleeping in a palace.
The staff has been very welcoming and helped me with every need, especially purchasing tickets online even without a Chinese mobile phone.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The reason is that we had a very nice time for our first visit 4 years ago. This time it was as nice as before or even much nicer! Kind and efficient staff, traditional chinese style building and room, delicious breakfast, clean room, everything was so nice. I definitely recommend this hotel. We are sure we will visit this hotel again.

Great location and traditional hotel feel in Middle of ancient town adds to the experience of a hotel that makes you feel like imperial guests. Staff were brilliant and catering to our every need. Silky smooth experience greeted at train station with transport to hotel. Nothing to worry about.

Very good location. Especially the staff 娟儿，very nice lady. From picking us up at the train station to the hotel. Helping us to book activities at Pingyao and also assisting us with our transportation. Highly recommended and definitely will visit this hotel again!

The hotel is centrally located in an old beautiful courtyard and also suitable for families. Very friendly and attentive staff! We felt very comfortable all around.

The hotel is located on one of the pedestrian streets, with restaurants, shops, and convenient stores (open late). The staff was very attentive and helpful, even though they didn’t speak English. The room was spacious and clean. Nice courtyards.

If you want to experience the splendid Chinese Jinzhong courtyard culture, I recommend you to stay at Yunjincheng Mansion (Pingyao Ancient City Branch)! Most of the infrastructure in the store is intact, preserving the original culture of the Shanxi mansion, with an elegant style. If you want to take travel photos, you can rent clothes in the store without leaving your home. The store also provides pick-up and drop-off services. The hygiene, breakfast, and service in the store are all great! The housekeeper Juaner was very impressive, a serious and dignified beautiful housekeeper!
