A very beautiful hotel that takes you back in time. The hotel is a work of art and has also a very relaxing outdoor traditional garden.
We opted for the traditional beds and we had a great time.
Service was spotless and very attentive.
The hotel is located right by the main streets and you can walk to the attractions easily.
We definitely recommend this hotel.

Many people taking photoshoots in the courtyard, very noisy and cannot rest during daytime. The toilet and shower are not separated. Very dirty.

Excellent location near the South Gate and easy access to Main Street in the old town. Looks a little rundown but perhaps it was the look it as trying to keep. Unsure. Classic chinese style room (nice!!) with Kang Bed meant for those who are accustomed to hard bed. Toilet and shower are not separated. Provide high speed train station pickup and drop off which are big pluses. Helpful front desk.

Very satisfied with the hotel, the service is thoughtful and the hospitality is warm. It feels very good to live in an ancient building, like going back to the old times. The children can play in the yard, which is comfortable and cozy.

The location is excellent, just a few dozen meters away from the central street. It can also be regarded as a famous scenic spot in Pingyao. The quaint courtyard and the patio shape for drinking tea on the water are all fascinating.
