I really liked the hotel's friendly front desk staff and excellent breakfast buffet. Room was clean and amenities great for the price. The hotel is also relatively near Pingyao Ancient town and will arrange for a driver to take you into the ancient town.

Room was spacious, clean and toilet facilities ok. Hotel location is about 1 km SW to the nearest entrance gate. Suggest getting DiDi or cab there as fares are really cheap. RMB 6 for 1st 3km. Nearby there are limited choices for street food or restaurants.

Large and comfortable room and a nice breakfast. About a 20-minute walk to the old city, but it's more convenient than to stay there due to the limitations on getting in and out of taxis. Warm and friendly staff. Good base for exploring the city, certainly!

We booked a hotel on Ctrip.com. After driving there, the hotel has a large parking lot, which is convenient. We booked a double bed. The room was clean. The bathroom was separated from wet and dry. There were free disposable slippers (good quality) and the room was soundproofed. It's also very good. The key point is that it's very close to Pingyao Ancient City. It takes about ten minutes to walk. After visiting the ancient city, you can also take an ancient city sightseeing bus back to the hotel. It's very convenient. The hotel's buffet breakfast is also very rich, and the beauty at the front desk is also very nice. The food around the hotel is good. I will stay here again next time.

The Magnolia Hotel is in a good location, less than 1 km away from the two nearest ancient city gates. The beautiful receptionist upgraded the room type for me when I checked in. The room is of average size, the bedding is comfortable and clean, and the air conditioning is powerful.
