Pingyao Ancient City Wanda Moments Hotel

I give this hotel a 1 out of 1. 0.5 of that is due to the security guard at the entrance—he proactively helped with my luggage upon check-in, was friendly and efficient, and was the only bright spot throughout my entire experience. The remaining 0.5 is because I "got" the hotel's "cheap"—I requested six bottles of water and one bottle of sea buckthorn juice over two days, and the customer service said they upgraded me to a room with a larger window. I'll consider this a "favor"; otherwise, I'd really give it a zero. The rest of my experience was utterly terrible! The hotel and the taxi company at the entrance were unclear. The driver insisted they were "hotel employees," but then the hotel denied any responsibility. This back-and-forth is ridiculous. I chose a taxi but explicitly didn't want a tour guide, but ended up being an irritant the entire time. The so-called taxi service changed drivers three times, and the first driver was incredibly rude—he was sullen the entire time and repeatedly asked me to find a tour guide. The last stop was especially outrageous, making us wait for ages. I called several times to ask if they could drop us off at a travel photography studio, but was told no, and that I had to wait until my family finished their photo shoot. What's going on? I paid for the car, so you're acting like a big shot, and I have to rely on your schedule to pick you up? Finally, when everyone arrived, I called, and even more ridiculously, this person didn't show up to pick me up. Instead, they substituted another driver. Sure, he might have been busy, but what was he busy about? If he couldn't do it, he could have told me in advance. Changing drivers at the last minute is outrageous. I also have to ask: When you hire a car, are you paying for the service or the boss? Shouldn't I follow my itinerary and go wherever I want? Later, I realized he was being so rude because I didn't choose a tour guide. The tour guide and the driver were in cahoots, specifically taking people to vinegar factories, vaults, and travel photography shops for commissions. Not hiring a tour guide meant he was losing money, so naturally, he wasn't happy. Even worse, the hotel staff insisted it had "nothing to do" with the car rental company. It turned out the company knew when I was checking out and even asked, "Aren't you checking out?" Isn't this a privacy breach? The hotel kept pretending to be innocent, yet they were secretly communicating with each other. So hypocritical!

The bathroom in the room stinks, there is a very bad smell, I flushed the toilet several times but it still smells, I don’t know what’s going on? ? Service: I asked if they would give me some free breakfast, but the lobby manager refused. This is the first time I was rejected by a hotel while traveling from south to north.

Bad review~ I went there for Wanda's signboard and have always trusted Wanda's service. As soon as I entered the door, the front desk clerk made this face. It was almost 2 o'clock, and told me that the room was still being cleaned 🧹, and only the room on the 2nd floor was opened. After a long communication, I reluctantly opened the room on the 5th floor. When I came up, I saw that it was basically cleaned 🉐almost~ I also asked for parking myself. I had to put a deposit separately to borrow an umbrella. The hotel breakfast was 68. I will not stay here next time~ There are many national chain hotels around, and they all look good
