Very nice and budget friendly hotel. The outside facade does not match the service we received inside. Luckily they are busy renovating so we can't wait to see the much needed facelift. We changed from being Business guests to conference goers due to some difficulties elsewhere, but we were accommodated and welcomed with open arms. Definitely an amazing hotel. The hotel was worth every cent. I loved that I was able to get an international plug when I needed one and that the staff was always willing to help. The breakfast OMG!!! Never seen or tasted anything more delicious. The variety of food and service from staff was a absolutely exceptional !!!!

Arrived at the place and did not get the room I booked they told me it was taken by other people. Our room had no mirror and no tv, the air-con was not working and it was cold. Checkout is very early 10:00 in the morning which wasn’t easy. Other than that I will give the place a 5:10 great for over night stay and leave in the morning.

I stayed here for 3 nights recently and it was a lovely place. Easy to locate, beautiful grounds (two pools!) and clean, comfortable rooms with very good air conditioning (important!). The entire staff was very friendly, even the security guard knew me by name. The daily breakfast was delicious. The hotel itself is walking distance from a grocery store as well as a busy street with lots of restaurants. It's a ~15 minute Uber ride to the beach and some other main attractions. And for the price, I feel like you can't get much better of a value. I would definitely recommend staying here.

As a couple who have travelled extensively in beautiful South Africa, and having had the privilege to stay in some of the countries best rated couples retreats and accommodation, we can honestly recommend Albion as the best Durban has to offer if you are looking for a friendly environment, good service and just the perfect position , close to all the best restaurants and night life Durban has to offer. Having stayed at Albion for the fifth time now, I am suitably impressed by the consistent excellent service and cleanliness and comfort of their accommodation.

This was my only sisters 70th birthday year and in the absence of us travelling overseas we booked a few local activities to make up for that. One of the highlights was an overnight package at SUNCOAST towers Hotel and her favourite overseas band SANAM tickets. Little did we know that this is what we would get. Currently they are advertising their sunscapes at R1045 per night so we were hopeful of a good room. She's 70 I'm 63 we had to walk a good 30 rooms down the passages right to the end as per diagram attached. The fourth floor and the view was the dumpster and back end of the hotel. The room dismally tiny with a sink and see through toilet and shower all in one square....ayyy hostel style or workers quarter style ..never again!!!!!! Sadly management didn't allow an upgrade they cited having no rooms available. I felt bad for only sister who comes a small mining town called Dannhauser in northern natal. I did not expect this kind of hotel accomodation Tsogo Sun. These rooms should be reserved for your gamblers who need a place to crash for a few hours....
