El Gran Sueño is an elegantly comfortable hotel in pastoral surroundings. The hosts are superb and the meals were delicious. This was a highlight of our Asturias adventure. We had a very nice three day stay between Christmas and New Year's eve ; the place is very confortable, and well located. We had breakfasts and a very enjoyable dinner. Our hosts, Javier and Dave, paid much attention to our needs and confort. Their new website gives a lot of useful information to discover the surroundings and find good spots to have dinner or lunch. We will definitely come back soon if we can.

The rave reviews led us to this lovely inn. It ended up being our best stay in our visit to northern Spain. It is a remote location, which adds to the charm. There are many walks you can take from the inn. The walks are in beautiful countryside dotted with houses, cow pastures and small farm plots. You walk through the tiniest hamlets imaginable. A short drive brings you to some lovely small towns and a park surrounding a mountain stream. We had breakfasts and dinners for our 3 nights there. Dave's cooking is sublime.

El Gran Sueno is a gem and a fantastic place to explore Asturias. The house and garden are beautiful and amazingly set and our room was stylish, comfortable (and spotless). But what really makes this place special is Javier and Dave. They are lovely hosts and could not be more kind or helpful. To add to all this, Dave is simply a superb cook. Both the breakfasts and the evening meals were a joy.

Our stay was as brilliant as the previous 6! Dave and Javier run the perfect hotel, in the perfect location, for a very relaxing holiday. There are beautiful stretches of coastline to visit and Asturias is a memorable region and not too hot! Add to that the delicious meals at breakfast and dinner and you couldn't stay anywhere better or more welcoming.

A fabulous spot in the hills and farmlands near Pintueles, Asturias. Javier and Dave are wonderful hosts, and our dinner on our first night was absolutely delicious. We stayed in the s/c Studio - beautifully decorated and designed. Their attention to detail is 100%. Everything you wanted was there. We loved our stay, and highly recommend El Gran Sueno.

Dave and Javier were very welcoming and knowledgeable on the local area. Our butlers Carson and Franklin were very friendly dogs and we enjoyed their company relaxing in the garden. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy and the mountain view from our balcony room were breathtaking! Breakfast was served every morning with home made sourdough bread, the effort and care put into the cooking made the food that extra bit delicious. I enjoyed my book to the sound of cowbells and birds and the natural beauty around the house. Overall our stay was relaxing and care free. Thanks to Javi and Dave!

The self-catering accommodation was immaculately presented and of an extremely high standard of finish and quality appliances. Attention to detail was paramount. It was lovely and quiet with views of the snow covered Picos. It is a rural location but only a few minutes drive to a reasonable sized town with all the necessary amenities. The hosts are very friendly and do all they can to ensure your stay is perfect.

Dave and Javier are the perfect hosts in this stylish and laid back house. Beautifully designed and furnished there is a real feeling of calm and tranquility around the place. Everything is done with a sense of style and we loved our time at El Gran Sueno. If you get a chance - go!
