The staff was fantastic from start to finish, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay accommodation was beautiful, the watering hole brought a range of animals to watch. Our guide Freedom was Brilliant, he was fun engaging and very knowledgable nothing was too much for him along with special shout outs to the chef the food was amazing! Karabo and Kopano was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, I don’t know how we will ever top this stay, it was a once in a life time holiday thanks to everyone!

Absolutely amazing stay at Black Rhino. The rooms were fabulous, beds extremely comfortable, food delicious and the game drives were out of this world. Our guide was Dolphie - he made the experience. Extremely knowledgeable and he went out his way to make sure we saw as much as we could. The only negative was that we didn’t stay there longer !! Will definitely return.

Excellent game reserve, great accommodation and food. Staff were amazing and friendly. Saw so many animals. Our game driver and guide, Dolfie was awesome. Highly recomend Dolfie. Very knowledgeable, found all the wild life, was enormous fun and gave us so many memories. Dolfie's a legend and would have anyone else. Black Rhino Lodge is the best.

No power in the room for first full night, no lighting, air con, fridge etc. Tried calling repeatedly for assistance but no answer and no answer to WhatsApp message. Next evening came into room to find animal droppings all over the place including on the bed. Reported to management and received the most disgraceful response along the lines of "it's nature, not much to do about it". Had to move to different accommodation and the management refused our request for refund.

Black rhino is a fantastic place to stay for a safari adventure, the facility's and staff are all excellent. Unfortunately the weather during our trip was terrible and the game reserve was closed after the first day as the roads had washed out (185mm of rain in 24 hours). However we still managed to see Rhino, Elephant, hippo, Giraffe, zebra, wilder beast, and impala. Would I stay again defiantly yes but next time would like to see the sun as well. We were informed verbally that we would receive an extra free night if we booked again within the next 24 months but as yet we have not received an email confirming this.

An unforgettable experience for our whole stay. We booked for a 2 night stay but after only being at the lodge a couple of hours, wished we had planned one more night, or two…..or three…. The food was excellent, breakfast, high tea and dinner was well presented and tasty. The menu choice was varied each day, and in my opinion great value for what we paid. The staff were friendly, helpful and just lovely! Our ranger, Freedom, was excellent!! We had the same ranger for our stay. There were three ranges and each group has a dedicated ranger, which is a nice personal touch. (I am sure all the rangers are the same at this lodge judging from comments from all the groups) The passion, professionalism & responsibility, Freedom has for his role really showed. Freedom’s knowledge and years of experience, led to us enjoying such amazing experiences. I have been on a few safari’s from childhood to adulthood and with only 2 days on this trip have seen and experienced more in what may have taken days to be seen- we must have been really lucky! I could keep going with loads more to positive things to say, and despite a couple of hiccups which was sorted out, in all, we would definitely go back again! Thanks Black Rhino Lodge it was AWESOME!

This was truly an experience to remember! I love seeing wild animals in their habitat without human intervention or interference. We saw the big 5 animals. We had 2 tours a day (3 days total) 5:30 mornings and 5:30 afternoons. We come back from each trip with dancers awaiting and a delicious buffet. This is something you can’t miss while in So. Africa!

Black Rhino lodge was amazing! The staff were lovely, the facilities were so so good, the rooms were fantastic but most of all the safari game drives were epic. Pilanesberg is a beautiful place but what made our game drives so amazing was our guide Dolfi. I have done quite a lot of safaris across Africa and I can say without a doubt that Dolfi is the best guide I have ever had on safari. He is so knowledgeable about animals and the land, he has an amazing eye for spotting animals, and he is the friendliest guy you will ever meet. If you want to go on safari in Africa, definitely choose Black Rhino lodge!
