Pieve di Cadore is a pretty Italian village with a wonderful lake view. The Hotel Belvedere has some rooms with this lake view. However, the hotel itself is almost impossible to find. It has no road frontage. On the road, there is a very small (black) sign that says hotel Belvedere. You then have to walk down some steps, walk past their (closed at the moment) restaurant to find the hotel entrance. This entrance faces the side of another building and the walkway/steps. You would think that the management would realise how difficult it is to find if you are in a car and perhaps send you very clear directions with your reservation confirmation! Also, the confirmation email I was sent included the incorrect phone number when I rang for directions. When we finally arrived, we found the hotel to be nice. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very quiet, perhaps it is off season. The room we had was large, it had a nice clean bathroom with nice toiletries. The view from the window was spectacular. There was no aircon in the room which would make it quite uncomfortable on a hot sunny day, but, it should be fine in the winter or spring. The breakfast was fine. We parked in the hotel garage (they have 2 spots so there is no guarantee that you will get a space) at a cost of €10 per day.

dated hotel that needs a renovation, parquet flooring that comes off with the risk of hurting yourself, concrete terraces with exposed moss.... fortunately only spent one night, breakfast was sufficient

Well-kept hotel. Very kind staff. Availability and courtesy. We extended our stay and they did everything possible to accommodate us. Good breakfasts and the thing that is not lacking and that makes the stay perfect is the courtesy. Thanks to all the staff.

Maybe it's the first time I've written a negative review. But too many things aren't up to the standard of a 4 star! 1) room at the level of a furnace with heat that's not even in August 2) old elevator that often gets stuck 3) breakfast worthy of a pension with 4 things to eat 4) reception with a lazy gentleman who doesn't give you any advice or information unless you ask him 5) dinner included at the restaurant next door with nothing special at the price of 25 euros 6) the only positive thing is the polite and kind boy and girl at the restaurant who help you understand something about how the included dinner works and advise you to have dinner with the normal menu (and you eat very well) 7) the central location on Pieve is definitely a plus, and also the possibility of bringing dogs 8) Old hotel in need of a makeover with old furniture not worthy of a 4 star

We booked 3 rooms 9 days in advance and when we arrived we found that no rooms had been reserved for us there. The owner questioned whether we had made the reservation and only after showing him the day and time we called to book apologized by blaming an imaginary employee. In the end, it was better this way because the lobby and reception did not look like a four-star hotel

Hotel in centro a Pieve di Cadore. Presente l’ascensore. La nostra camera era una quadrupla (letto matrimoniale e divano letto) con terrazzino con vista sulla diga di Pieve di Cadore. Struttura confortevole, ambiente pulito. Titolare e personale gentili. Buona la colazione (proposta di dolci e salati). Parcheggio esterno con disponibilità per 4/5 macchine (noi siamo stati in bassa stagione per cui non abbiamo avuto problemi). Nel complesso più che soddisfatti.

Di 4 stelle non ha proprio nulla! premetto che non scrivo quasi mai recensioni ma questa struttura è da evitare! Reception inadeguata ed inesistente , stanze vecchissime e mobili rovinati , senza telefono senza aria condizionata (anche se sul loro sito indicano la presenza in ogni camera sia di uno che dell'altra).. Ascensore mal funzionante, non tocco argomento pulizia ... Purtroppo comprata notte online una junior suite vista lago ed in cambio ricevuta una camera grande ma non suite. Unica cosa positiva : la simpatia e disponibilità del ragazzo addetto alle prime colazioni
