Experience excellent at 360 degrees. We stayed a week at the Albatros hotel and it was like feeling at home. All staff members were very nice, available and professional! The rooms are cleaned in a perfect way. It has a sea view terrace where you can make breakfast or take aperitif. Super advisable also to those like us who want to take a holiday with your friend at 4 feet. In our case, Arya, our paddy, has been very comfortable and super cocktailed. This waterfront hotel in the seaside town of Alassio is extremely well-staffed and equipped, it also has a very generously furnished spa/health therapy centre. However The main entrance to the hotel has two small (hotel name)brass plaques, one on either side of the relatively small revolving door ……..both obscured by large plants. The external carpet is embroidered with ‘Riviera Delle Palme Talassio Collection’ and neither the hidden plaques nor the carpet are good indicators as to where the hotel was hiding. For a stressed first time visitor arriving by car and having spent many hours in badly managed roadwork queues, the lack of signs and clear indications were not conducive to a smooth arrival. Children had been allowed to use the main spa pool in the afternoon (mornings they’re allowed in) bringing with them a cacophony of noise and a traffic jam at the most popular water jets thereby making the area into a large, unnecessary and unwanted kindergarten. The masseuse managed to arrive unacceptably late for a pre-booked massage by which time I had returned to base ………….. the head concierge was commendable for his apologies and efforts to reschedule but tardiness at this level is not professional nor indicative of the hotel’s standards. A decent enough stay but there are plenty of other hotels at this level to choose from in future.

We had a wonderful stay at Loano 2 Village. This was our second stay in four years. All that impressed us 4 years ago remained, and more was added to it. We saw many of the same members of staff from the last stay, which just shows that the resort is managed properly. The staff are exceptionally warm and professional. The service is of very high standard. The accommodation is very comfortable and pleasant. The setting of the resort is excellent, sandwiched between the sea, lovely Loano, and the mountains, with spectacular views. The facilities, the gardens, the spacious pools, the playground are all very well-kept. We had the half board option. The food was delicious, plentiful, varied, and of high standard. Wine, juices and water were included. The poolside bar is an excellent value for money, and serves superb lunches, drinks and snacks. There’s plenty to do in the region. From spectacular caves, to miles and miles of beautiful and safe seaside cycling routes, to trekking and mountain biking. The coast is dotted with many beautiful villages and towns to visit. We highly recommend Loano 2 Village!
