Brace of Pheasants

Fantastic stay here, enjoying gorgeous food in what was a beautiful location. The staff were especially brilliant and we really appreciated how caring and attentive they were.

We had an event in the area and stayed here for 1 night. Check in was quick and friendly. Was shown personally to our room. Food onsite was amazing ! Wi-Fi is fast and is critical as no signal in the area (Nothing the hotel can do about that) :) Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone !

I loved it here. Its quaint and in such a peaceful location. All the staff were very friendly and well suited for people facing roles. Planty of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits in the room. You do have to duck your head on the stairs but this building is old and has so much history. My favourite part was the bed! It was like sleeping on a cloud and i even managed to sleep slightly later than i should have. I also loved the shower, it was so deep and has steps to access it, so not for anyone with any mobility difficulties. The only negative was the strange smell, but i did get used to it and everything else made up for it. I'd definitely return and would recommend. Many thanks.

Lovely place to stay Very warm welcome, really good customer service. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, the tea, biscuits and Nespresso machine were very welcome. Food was excellent and the bar was very friendly. Cannot recommend enough, it is a pretty thatched pub in a very quiet hamlet.

This a delightful if very remote pub with a superb restaurant in a quintessential little Dorset village. Highly recommended for foreign tourists who want a genuine English pub experience.

Very comfortable bed, and quiet. Lovely setting.
