Seabank House Bed and Breakfast Hummingbird

Comfortable B and B perfectly located when you come off the PEI ferry. Owners were friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable with thoughtful provision in bathroom etc. Nice sitting room with books, comfortable chairs. Walking distance into Pictou and menus for the relatively limited choice of restaurants provided. Good breakfast except didn't have any veggie option when I said not eating eggs.

We are an older couple, and dragging heavy suitcases up stairs is no picnic for us! Glenn and Elizabeth, the owners, were so kind! Glenn got the suitcases up to our very comfortable room, whew! We stayed for two nights, and really enjoyed the Seabank House. It's a nicely restored, charming historic home well located near the center of Pictou. We hit the farmers market in New Glasgow (wonderful food stands and crafts), and loved the museum where the replica of the 18th Century ship, Hector, is berthed. Spend a few hours there and you will begin to understand the courage of the Scots who braved the perilous trans-Atlantic journey in search of freedom and new lives. So thank you, Glenn and Elizabeth, for your gracious hospitality, your delicious breakfasts, and your helpfulness!

Wonderful restored home, now an elegant and comfortable B&B. Glenn and Elizabeth are excellent hosts. Modern bathroom in a charming bedroom. Check out the historical photos in the dining room. Great place to stay on your way to or from the Caribou / Wood Island Ferry to PEI.

Liz, the host, operates a very pleasant inn with an excellent location near downtown Pictou. She is very charming and can keep even a tired traveler smiling. The rooms are spotless and quiet and very comfortable, and the bathrooms are newly renovated. She and her husband Glenn also prepare a delicious full breakfast every morning. They are both very accommodating and they got up very early in the morning to serve breakfast so that we could catch the first ferry to PEI. Highly recommended. We would stay there again. Needing to find accommodations in Pictou for a court proceeding we found this gem on the Internet and are we glad we did..The house is beautiful tho under minor renovation in parts which doesn’t hinder the operation in the least…The bedrooms are beautiful and cozy and each have their own private bathrooms…They have a beautiful living room which is open to all to go sit and play games or just sit and enjoy a nice drink of wine and conversation as we did…Tea and coffee are available at all times in the breakfast area..In the morning a tasty breakfast is cooked by the wonderful hostess Elizabeth and served by her cheerful husband Glenn…These two are DEFINETELY in the right job as are the most accomadating, friendly, obliging couple who we were so Blessed to have met…We went to their home as strangers and left as Friends and will be back for sure…If you looking for a home away from home this is the place for you!

My husband, sister and I stayed at the Seabank House for the Pictou Hector 250 celebrations, and it exceeded all my expectations. The personal touch of Glenn & Elizabeth made us feel right at home, and their great local recommendations helped us explore the area like a local. The beautiful historical home was the perfect place to stay for an extended period, and I loved how it was situated in a prime location to explore the area. And let’s not forget Glenn’s delicious homemade pie crust - the apple pie was the perfect way to top off our unexpected day of rest due to Hurricane Lee. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.
