This house is amazing. Everything about it is fantastic for a family gathering : beautiful green space, a grand staircase, excellent kitchen and dining facilities and awesome quirky rooms. We had 30 women here for a hen do and it was incredible. Also despite looking like it should be *******, we def didn’t get any spooky vibes once we were in. Someone has clearly saged it. 10/10 I want to spend every weekend there!

What a fantastic b&b with an equally great evening meal. You can tell by the quality of the meals, including the best cooked breakfast we had during our 3 week visit to New Zealand that Margaret enjoys her task of preparing and cooking the meals. We had the upstairs which were two huge rooms. Both her and Bill were wonderful hosts. And like most, we would not hesitate to return to Kippilaw House.

Bill and Margaret are fabulous hosts! We stayed 3 nights, and loved it. Margaret is just a wonderful cook, the food was amazing :-) One night we had some friends join us for dinner as well ( that is an option, but highly recommend ). We had an early departure, Bill took us to the ferry (7am) and Margaret packed a breakfast to go that we ate on the ferry. If we are in Picton again, we will definitely stay here !

This was a delightful place to stay coming off the ferry from Wellington. A pi ckup from the ferry was provided. The decor is very pleasant and the dinner option is highly recommended. Margaret is a creative, gourmet chef. Views from our well-appointed room were also quite nice.

Really has the WOW factor but super laid back too. Stunning villa, furnishings, super comfy bed and great attention to detail. The real highlight was the amazing breakfast, second to none, as only a true foodie professional could create. Out hosts were just so kind and thoughtful, whilst giving us just the best experience during our stay, thank you!

We stayed here two nights either side of walking queen Charlottes track. We could not recommend it more highly, the rooms are very spacious and well equipped, the beds super comfortable, very homely ambience and stunning garden. The hosts are so welcoming and the dogs charming! Margaret’s food is legendary in Picton and deserves to be. We ate supper here both nights. We will return!

Excellent place to stay. Great hospitality. Close to Picton ferry terminal (5min drive). We were on our way to Dunedin and decided to stay here for a night. Easy communication, great welcome and comfortable stay in a boutique style house. Very clean, and every necessity was available. Great homemade breakfast was also included in our stay. I highly recommend this place to stay and experience the difference.

Margaret and Bill and the perfect hosts. The room was excellent with many amenities provided. Spacious and comfortable. Large bathroom, use of a large lounge room. Breakfast was excellent, all home cooked.
