I have had the good fortune to stay here on several ocassions and it never fails to Impress! Set in a beautiful forest location, High Dalby House covers all the bases in spectacular fashion. The attention to detail in everything they do leaves you breathless. The grounds themselves are spectacular, from the Labyrinth and Chapel on one end to the Cwtch and reflective gardens on the other end, with many places to sit of recharge your batteries. This attention to detail continues inside the main house where the individual rooms are wonderfully appointed and the commons areas are warm and cozy. And to seal the deal, the food is wholesome and wonderfully presented, with every little whim of the guests catered to. This is a complete experience from beginning to end!

This is a wonderful hideaway with lovely hosts ensuring everything was to our needs. Ian made his homemade granola for me for breakfast which was great, definitely recommend it! Cooked breakfast was perfect. Highlight was discovering The Trinity Garden, its very own secret garden which you must visit. We had to tear ourselves away to get on with our day but it was very difficult as it’s absolutely tranquil and peaceful, we could have stayed all day enjoying the peace. Very happy time spent at High House. Thanks guys Mairi & Steve

What a lucky find. Lovely hotel, where the owner/hosts were friendly, helpful, down-to-earth and accommodating without being intrusive. Well appointed and comfortable room and bathroom, with extras easily provided. Hotel's grounds are themselves extensive and frankly, beautiful; the forest setting is a bonus. Peaceful, tranquil and restful. Will definitely return as very well priced.

I'm here now and it's beautiful, idyllic and the house & grounds are stunning....couldn't fault it, plus I have a 4 poster bed Set in Dalby Forest the location is fantastic and you instantly feel relaxed and away from it all. Host are lovely and very considerate to guest needs

What a fantastic exerience Ian and lynda made us sooo welcome. A lovely cup of tea on arrival with delicious homemade scones . The breakfast was to die for and just the right amount. Ian always asked if we wanted more of anything. The grounds are fantastic as is location. We travelled with our two five month old spaniels who are quite a handful but we were still made very welcome. Value for money it is excellent. We will be telling everybody about High Dalby House and will be back if they will have us. Thankyou to you both Ann and Daryl.

This is a gem hidden in Dalby Forest and run by an amazing couple. The welcome was very friendly, the house was incredible, and the breakfast was perfect. My trip was for business and although there is no cell signal at the house there is internet and to be honest, having no cell is a godsend. This is a perfect venue for a romantic getaway with your partner, long quiet walks in the woods, or pop to Pickering for a look around town.

This wonderful B & B is situated in the middle of the beautiful Dalby Forest. It is owned by two lovely people Ian and Linda. We had a really warm welcome from them both. The breakfast was first class and the rooms were enchanting and comfortable. The grounds are outstanding - you could spend a day wandering round the stunning becks , gardens and Labyrinth. Highly recommended for a perfect break away. My friend Ann and I loved every minute.

Kingfisher cottage is a private, spacious, immaculately clean and well equipped space for a very comfortable stay. I hadn’t quite appreciated before arrival that the cottage is set in the most magnificent six acre grounds, cleverly designed to blend in with the natural environment of the grounds. An abundance of flowers, shrubs and trees and when you venture further away from the house you’ll find wilder terrain which encompasses a natural beck and a large natural pool/lake. Many interesting little gems and design features dotted around the grounds - but you’ll have to book a stay and discover all of those for yourself! Ian kindly prepared the hot-tub and sauna for exclusive use in an area perfect for relaxing, for enjoying the stunning views, listening to the birdsong and for breathing in the fresh air and floral scents from the garden. Immediately outside the grounds are numerous trails for walking or biking in the forest which means if desired, you don’t have to use the car for your entire stay. Many thanks to Ian and Linda for your very kind hospitality and for a most enjoyable and relaxing stay. I look forward to returning.
