Agriturismo Antico Casale Colli di San Pietro

Antico Casale is set on the San Pietro hill above Sorrento center and is one of our most favorite places to visit as a family. It is a family owed agriturismo run and cared for by Nonna Luisa and her three sons, Salvatore, Mario and Angelo. The accommodations are exceptional, the grounds are inviting, the view of the bay is breathtaking and easy access to both Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. Ideally you should have a car or a Vespa to get around. Beyond the included breakfast, there is a full service restaurant - Nonna Luisa Agristoria, serving lunch and dinner, is fantastic with chef Annamarie making amazing traditional Sorrentina dishes using all the products produced by their farm. When we leave we always look forward to our next visit which will be in August for our daughter’s wedding at Antico Casale.

The food was delicious, the rooms and premises were exeptionally well-maintained, and the family took great care of us! Salvatore and his family make you feel very welcome. They are great hosts. The Restuarant is excellent with most produce drawn from the farm. The property is ideally located for visiting Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi coast. Salvatore was very helpful with great advice on where to visit and how. We had a wonderful stay for four nights.

If you are looking at experiencing an authentic Italian evening, you must book the farm tour! Our host Salvatore, one of the owners, brought us to his ancestral family farm where his great-grandfather started his lemon grove. On-site, we learned about the trees and the old wine-making equipment. We were treated to tasting their delicious wine along with some salami that was curing in their cellar as well! The tour continued to their restaurant a bit higher into the hills, which had breathtaking views. There we ate like kings! The chefs use only local ingredients and their own farm-raised animals, plants, and vegetables. We had such a wonderful evening with a very attentive staff and the most scrumptious food. I have friends going to Italy in August, and they are booking their tour, and I know they will not be disappointed! Molto grazie per tutti Salvatore, Mario, e Antoni!!

We did the farm tour with Salvatore. He picked us up at our hotel, we toured his family’s lemon and orange farm and learned about his wine making. We was a gracious host, we tasted his red wine and his homemade salami. Both were delicious! We then headed to his hill top restaurant with a spectacular view. The family business was so charming, we even met Nona. We had an amazing supper, tasting all the local products the farm produces. It was the best way to finish our stay in the Amalfi coast! The staff was exceptional, the three brothers who own the farm were hands on in the whole experience. At the end of the night, we were brought back to our hotel.
