Hotels in Kata Beach, Phuket

We enjoyed the hotel and the location. The room was big and had a sea view, comfortable beds, everything what we needed was there, big balcony and was calm and piece full, you could enjoy sleeping at night and any part of the day. Breakfast was variable and had many things to offer, you could choose western and Asian things. The only moment for me was that the cleaning was made a bit late, we stayed in the sea until 12 and then wanted to take a rest in the room, but it was not done yet, so had to talk to the reception to make sure our room is ready before 12. For the rest I enjoyed a lot and will come again. The area is suitable for couples and kids, no crazy parties around, everything is civil and clean.

This hotel doenot provide tooth brush and tooth paste Hotel had s beautiful view to Karon beach,but not recommended for disable or old people ( like us already 80 yrs and my wife 79 yrs old) and who suffer knee painful ,because this Hotel doesnot have a lift.

Big bedrooms with comfortable beds. The swimming pool is great for families with children. 7 minutes walking to the beach. Staff is helpful and respectful! The only thing disappointing was the breakfast: basic and repetitive. It could definitely improve the breakfast.

Tastefully designed hotel. Spacious room. It would have been better if the different blocks were connected by sheltered walkways. Breakfast was delicious with limited options, but the pool was beautiful and large. Staff were generally friendly. Do note that there are several cats within the hotel. This resort is also very popular among Chinese tourists.

This hotel is the absolute best for kids. There is a kids club, and also a kids pool with slides, water guns and free floats and balls provided. Every morning at breakfast there will be a costume mascot that will greet the kids. We had a lobster, dolphin and crab appear during our stay. Staff were also wonderful and helpful. Having a shuttle is a nice touch considering the steep uphill climb back to the hotel. I appreciate the sustainability efforts the hotel has put in. But my battle with the toothpaste was not ideal. I could not tear open the toothpaste packaging. The bed we had was super king size. Truly remarkable. My wife is a light sleeper so it made our trip even more pleasant. Overall I would say Massimo Bernardi the GM has done a good job with the place. From the activities, to staff attentiveness and even the maintenance of the place. There were even yoga sessions in the morning for those who are into it. And finally would like to thank for the cake in the fridge. It was a very nice surprise.

This hotel has a lot of potential; however, it’s definitely not up to the standard of a 4-5 star establishment. The staff was incredibly rude, especially the restaurant staff at the Red Chopstick. We were not allowed to take food away from the restaurant, and the breakfast staff was very unprofessional. My wife was sitting sideways with one of her legs up, and a waitress touched her leg to ask her to put it down as if she were a child. This incident happened twice, which was both humiliating and extremely disrespectful. It’s disappointing because we see potential in this hotel—the rooms are simply beautiful. However, the staff lacks manners and absolutely does not know how to cater to their customers, which is not up to a 4-5 star standard. Additionally, the room access is inconvenient; they should have a shuttle service to the rooms. I personally will not be visiting this hotel again. I do hope they take our criticism seriously and make the necessary improvements.

This is our second time returning back to the resort. My daughter totally loves the Kids Club. The staff there, Kai, and the other 2 Filipino staff (male and female) that we remember the last time we were there and they were really nice and took care of my daughter Indigo really well. This time we got a bigger room and the room were really comfortable and enough for 4 of us. We loved that the resort is family friendly. The only thing that we hv to comment is we wish the breakfast would hv some different selection of food everyday and not the same everyday. It gets a little boring after awhile. Also there were ALOT of selection of carbs. Other than that everything is great! Especially the staff, everyone were very helpful and very friendly and very welcoming and very very patient. We definitely will go back there again. Kudos to the staff at Kathatani Phuket Beach Resort!

The place is beautiful for sure. And stuff always says hi . But while check out . I call to ask for late check out. And I was informed that i cannot, which is fine. After this , i got call every 30 second and 1 minute to inform me i need to do checkout. After I told them give me 10 minutes to packing , they send over a stuff , literally waiting for me outside and after a while knock on the door again.. this is one of ridiculous experience I ever had for check out . Very uncomfortable to be honest.

Location is fantastic, plenty of food options within walking distance. Massage parlour are just right at the door, quite a few to choose from. There are 2 7-11 nearby, both within 5 min walk. Decent roomsize. Breakfast was simple and mostly the same daily. The water in pool with direct access was cold. Little hiccup with our check in, were us to top up for 1000baht per night for my child. We asked for the price to upgrade to a 2 bedroom, staff went into the rest area for a few minutes and returned claiming it's fully booked. However, when we check online, the room type was still available. Stayed for a couple of nights in Superior Triple with Pool Access Room 3101. It has a strong musty smell in both living and bedroom. Horrible. We feedback to the staff, they offered us a room change to 3103, but the musty smell was equally bad. Insisted they do something for us and that's when they send housekeeping and light up essential oil in our room. The musty smells came back once the candle goes off. Very bad. Disapointing that staff failed to follow up with us on this matter. We stayed another 2 more nights after feedback, no one approach us to follow-up. Either they are seasoned with this complain or simply can't be bothered. Overall good place, request for rooms in other blocks.

I absolutely loved staying here. The location is perfect and there are pools that run throughout the length of the resort. The rooms are great, the room service is fantastic and the ladies on the front desk were warm and welcoming. I will definitely be back within 12 months
