It is the second time we are back to this hotel since last year. We brought our 2 year old daughter here last year and now we are back again this time with a newborn.
The hotel has undergone some refurbishment with a new bar beside the pool.
We also discovered the new kids playpen at level 1 which the kids enjoyed.
However there were some not so enjoyable parts of this trip. Such as the mosquitoes and also the lift which was out of order. It was not easy to carry the bags and stroller up and down the stairs.
I trust the hotel management will look into this matter asap.

So let’s start off this is my third time at Avista Kata . Our last stay was 8 years ago . The facility is getting old , things like walls , tiles , showering head just doesn’t give a good vibe . There’s ants so make sure you don’t have anything sweet laying around . There is no usb charging in the room so it seems like they don’t update the hotel at all . The pool is decent compared to other kata hotels . The staff is decent . The food is ok nothing special . Would not stay at the hotel again.

The hotel is clean and the hospitality is excellent. The staff Tina recommended good places for us to visit and eat. Location wise will require to climb on top or walk down the steep road, however they have shuttle service every half an hour to kata beach and they provide beach towel as well. They have kids club and pool but the pool is 1.2 depth hence will require floats for younger children.
There is no halal section or separation for halal in the hotel breakfast, food choice are limited. And the surrounding area require to walk abit of distance to find a halal friendly restaurant
Kata beach and the area is good and family friendly, alot shops to walk around.

A nice hotel in good location which isn’t far from kata beach but is at the top of a steep hill.
Staff are super friendly and buffet is really good, but the negative is that sometimes service can be a little slow and if you have a pool view pool, the pool bar plays loud music from around 10am or so which honestly isn’t great when you want to relax or have a sleep in.

Decent hotel with great pools and nice breakfast buffet. Close to beach although a bit of a climb back to hotel if not using the shuttle.
