Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Poor Service
I booked an expensive room expecting a premium experience, but upon arrival, the receptionist tried to give me a different room that did not match my booking. After I complained, they attempted to offer an even worse room, claiming that a “city view” meant facing a wall inside the building. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of me.
Thankfully, the manager, Nick—a very professional and efficient German gentleman—stepped in and resolved the issue quickly. Thanks to him and Trip.com, I eventually got the correct room.
Room & Facilities:
• The water quality was poor. After just two showers, my white shower filter turned brown, which is unacceptable for a high-priced hotel.
• While the room itself was clean, the bathroom design was inconvenient—the sink is on an island far from the mirror, making it difficult for shaving or applying makeup.
Noise & Atmosphere:
• The hotel was extremely noisy. Doors slammed constantly, especially at night, and intoxicated guests made a lot of noise.
• One night, a loud argument involving a French girl broke out on the third floor at 2 AM, but the reception staff did nothing to intervene.
• To make matters worse, there is a boxing ring beneath the rooms, adding even more noise.
Pricing & Location:
• The hotel is severely overpriced for what it offers.
• The location is average, but construction nearby creates noise and unpleasant smells.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, mainly due to the attempt to downgrade my room and the lack of control over noise issues. If the management wants to charge premium prices, they should focus on honesty, professionalism, and customer satisfaction rather than trying to cut corners.
Would not recommend staying here at this price point.
