During a recent stay at the Cape Sienna Phuket Gourmet Hotel & Villas from April 23rd to April 26th, I had the opportunity to experience their Executive Pool Penthouse, which boasts an exceptional sea view. Here are some key takeaways from my visit: 1. Scenic Views: The panoramic sea views from the penthouse are undoubtedly breathtaking. However, it's important to note that direct beach access is not available, which might be a consideration for beach enthusiasts. 2. Dining Experience: The breakfast options were quite limited during my stay. I found myself restricted to scrambled eggs each morning, which was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. 3. Service: The staff at the hotel maintained a professional demeanor, but I felt a warmer, more proactive engagement was lacking. Guests are often required to initiate interactions, which might not meet everyone's expectations of hospitality. 4. In-Room Dining*: While in-room breakfast is available for a nominal fee of 40 baht, the lack of a proper dining setup on the terrace, such as a table and chairs, suggests that the hotel might not be fully equipped for in-room dining experiences. 5. Swimming Pool: The pool, although visually appealing, is quite small and shallow. It may not suit those looking to swim laps or enjoy more aquatic activities. 6. Accessibility: Access to the room can be a bit cumbersome as it involves climbing two flights of stairs to reach the elevators, which might be a concern for those with mobility issues. 7. Entertainment: Post-sunset, the ambiance at the hotel becomes notably subdued, with no scheduled activities or entertainment to keep guests engaged during the evening. 8. Policies: Upon check-in, a security deposit of 400 baht is required, and the process to reclaim this deposit at check-out was notably slow, which could be streamlined for better guest convenience. 9. Location: The hotel's location is somewhat remote from Phuket’s main attractions, which could lead to significant transportation costs via services like Grab and Bolt. This might be a deterrent for those looking to explore the vibrant scenes of old Phuket or other active spots. Conclusion: Cape Sienna Phuket Gourmet Hotel & Villas offers a retreat with stunning views and serene privacy but falls short in areas like dining diversity, guest engagement, and evening entertainment. Has to be my favourite place to stay in Phuket or Kamala:) great location on the cliff with amazing views and close to town! Rooms, pools, fitness centre is all top class! And the buffet breakfast is amazing also :)

We had a really nice time at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked the honeymoon suite, which was great, very spacious and comes with everything you need and want and the views from the hotel are stunning. There is a fully stocked minibar. There is also room service by scanning a QR code in the room, but oddly, no beverages, you need to call from the room phone to order them. An evening service is provided where they light incense in the bathroom area - be careful to put your do not disturb sign on if you dont want housekeeping entering! The main pool is in the middle of the dining area, which we found strange. We preferred the pool down the road attached to Sienna Rocks café. It's a large and busy hotel, which we prefer to avoid. It's located at the top of a hill just off the main stretch of Kamala, which was nice for us as we like to be away from the main area. This hotel is not suitable for anyone with difficulties with stairs, there are a lot of stairs and we needed to carry our suitcases up and down 1 flight before getting to the elevator. The gym has a variety of equipment but again, busy in the mornings so you might need alternative moves. There were never any towels to wipe down the equipment when we went. The food & drink at the poolside restaurant were great and Vanilla Sky bar was nice too. We didn't go to the steakhouse restaurant as there weren't vegetarian options. The breakfast is really nice, a good variety of options and their omelette station is great! However, breakfast was always very busy, you were dodging people for most of it. Kamala is a very busy beach; we didn't like it so we travelled to surin beach and got a boat to another beach that was quieter for a few hours. We struggled to get a Grab taxi back to the airport at the end of our stay but the hotel concierge got us one in less than 5 minutes. Overall, a lovely stay and we really enjoyed it, but beware the busyness.

Room was amazing with the bathtub in the balcony. Great view and room service was good. Pool area is a bit small if tou don't have a private pool in the room.

Good stay for Christmas. Apart from being locked out my room when trying to check out it was very nice.

Located near Kamala beach which is not as crowded as Patong area, and in close proximity to 7-Eleven convenience store, Big C Supermarket and easy to find Halal eateries nearby. The room was clean and service was great overall. Views were amazing.

Perfect place to stay!! Very quiet and cozy vibes with the best view of the beach.

Fantastic location, beautiful architecture, lovely staff , food is okay , easy to go anywhere due to good lobby design and staff.

The stay was good. The best view is from the hotel lobby and the swimming pool. We were given a very corner room with a partial sea view and requested for a change the next day due to poor tv signal. The hotel eventually allocated us to another room and the view was better. However, the tv signal remains poor and we gave up watching any channels. The power sockets were not working and the balcony doors could not be locked. The breakfast is normal. The property needs renovation given the hotels age.

At Cape Sienna, we stayed in the Junior Suite with Sea View and Jacuzzi. It was very pretty, clean and quite private. We had a great breakfast with many choices including egg station. The coffee from the machine could have been better. The staff were warm and welcoming and we enjoyed the hot ginger tea at check in. The location is a little inconvenient but if you rent a scooter or a car, you would have no problems. We would stay here again. Definitely recommend for couples!

Location is not so great, about 10 mins to the beach and 15mins back high up to hotel. Service and attitude was just ordinary, check in was abit slow. Breakfast wasn’t impressive.

Pros: This hotel is well maintained, clean, the facilities are good too. The scenery is amazing from the pool, the room and the rooftop bar. The breakfast is nice and a lot of choice. The staff at the reception, at the entrance of the hotel are all professional and friendly. Cons: The rude team of barman’s and the waitress at the main pool ! They are not friendly at all and really not polite ! I ask questions about a cocktail the barman clearly show a black face because I asked him a question, the rest of the team is the same, they don’t say hello, thank you or smile. Not enough shuttle bus to go to Kamala.
