It is a decent resort and it’s technically in kata/kata noi. The biggest concern is that it’s perched atop a steep hill so if you don’t have a form of transport i.e bike/car, it would be legs days everyday. Getting a grab also proved a challenge and you’ll end up having to negotiate with tuktuk drivers.
Housekeeping was subpar as well, conveniently masked as ‘going green’. Also note that, THERE WILL BE MOSQUITOES in the room, it’s south east Asia, I get it, but I’d kill all of them, sleep in peace and after I leave for the day, they’re back despite keeping all doors closed. Go figure.
I will say, it’s not all bad, they have a small but pretty decked gym and a great swimming pool with a lawn & a view. The room is huge and comes with a small balcony and I appreciate the free breakfast.
Overall, if don’t get your hopes up and you’ll be pleasantly surprised, it is accurately a great 3-star resort or a very tired 4 star resort that requires renewing
