Island Patong Beachfront Hotel Reviews

This hotel is not what it seems. It is more like a backpacker’s Airbnb. It does not have its own lobby for checkin. The signage is nonexistent. The entrance to the rooms (of which there are only a few) goes through a busy restaurant, over the kitchen. The checkin can only be found a few doors down the street in a different small hotel like lobby. Once you find the right place to check in, the service people were friendly and cooperative. On the bright side, the room is actually pretty good, aircon and shower work (no shower stall just water direct yo bathroom floor which is actually common in Thailand). Functionally speaking and cost-wise it is actually very good value. Just need to be aware what you are getting yourself into. Location right on the main drag and beach is great.

Not a bad room overlooking the beach. On the ground floor there is a cafe. On the 5th floor there is a lounge area with a swimming pool and a bar.

The room smelled bad and the air conditioner was broken. It was a miserable night. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. To get to our room, we had to go to the highest floor, walk down a corridor, and then go up a flight of stairs. It was very inconvenient.

The location is good. There are many small stalls to buy food and drinks at night, which is a very good choice. After dark, it will be more formal from 11 o'clock. Some hygiene aspects are not very good. There is no shower curtain or glass door, and there is no toothbrush. You need to bring your own Accor toothbrush and bath towel. When you check in, you need to check whether the TV can switch channels normally. The two rooms we stayed in cannot see the TV. The entertainment at night is just a sex stall. There are no other parents. The attitude is very average.

It was better than I thought. The beach right in front. 1.2km to Jungceylon. Recommended for just sleeping. It is not recommended if your purpose is to rest within the hotel.

Great location near beach and market

The room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel very near with restaurant, massage, beach and etc. Just walk.. And all the staff also very friendly and helpful.. Recommended! 👍

The beach is right at the door

Hotel is at the back of a restaurant. You need to walk through the restaurant to get to your room, a little weird at first but you get used to it and the food is delicious. Hotel room is quite noisy if you have an ocean view but the balcony and view was dope.

Horrible experience. The check in counter is inside of a restaurant and nobody was there. When I asked one of the restaurants employees for help she yelled at me angry not sure why. After a minute I realized that there was a note to go next door to modern living hotel. When I get next door the people at modern were very nice. If it wasn't for girl named tip I would have just left. I inquire about staying at modern but they were booked. Getting to the room was an experience too. Took elevator at modern to 5th floor then through a narrow hallway. had to carry my heavy luggage down 2 flights of stairs. Then the room Bed hard as a rock. The windows shook so bad from the wind. I ended up putting tissue in between the window and frame. The tfaffic is so loud all night because the windows are so thin. And construction during the day with lots of door slamming from hallway. Terrible. No sound proof at all. Way over priced for this type of room... I'll never recommend anyone to stay there. Modern living people were awesome though.
