Pros: - good location, walking distance to Grand World - low price, best if you don’t spend much time at the hotel and mostly out and about - clean and modern decor Cons: - no aircon in corridor and elevator, it can be very uncomfortable to step in the elevator on hot days - no room service, no service at pool area, no option to pay for food and beverage at check out. - minibar is empty, instant coffee and tea bags are available yet no milk. When we requested milk for our cup of tea, the reception staff advised we would need to go to the bar (ground floor) to purchase milk at own cost. Milk is essential and it has always been provided free of charge wherever we’ve been (Bali, Singapore, Australia, etc.) - mid-stay ROOM INSPECTION. This is very UNPLEASANT practice to Westerners and should be stopped. Not sure if this is normal in Vietnam, but it is very displeasing and annoying to us (Australians). We often stayed a few weeks to months in Bali and other Asian countries, we’ve never had room inspection where 2 staff entered our room, 1 of them walked around the room pretending to check the skirting board with a screwdriver while the other was casing the room (it was obvious that they wanted to check to room). - poor English proficiency. Only one reception staff can speak English well, the rest of the staff don’t. My husband was quite frustrated during our stay because he couldn’t communicate with staff. We’ve stayed in Bali and other Asian countries, all of their staff are fluent in English including security and housekeeping staff. - lack of attention to food safety. Signage is very small. No cover when the meals bought outside to the pool area. Food was not kept at optimum temperature can cause bacteria to grow to dangerous levels that can cause illness. - lack of knowledge about beverage. Staff didn’t understand my husband’s order of Bourbon + Cola (very common drinks to Westerners) and advised they don’t have Bourbon. When my husband went to the bar with the staff, there was a big Bourbon bottle sitting on the shelf! - lack of customer service. Staff was not attentive to customers, my husband had to walked to the restaurant to get staff attention when we wanted food and drinks while we were at the pool. Staff should walk around and simply check in with customers. Staff didn’t greet customers when they walk past, again when we were in Bali and other Asian countries, their staff (everyone including housekeeping staff) always said good morning, good afternoon or good evening. - FACIAL BIOMETRICS RECOGNITION was an entry requirement to enter buffet breakfast. This should be disclosed in booking description including third-party websites like Agoda, Booking.com, etc. No information on Facial Biometrics Recognition are found anywhere or has ever been communicated to us prior to checking in. If we have known, we would stay elsewhere for sure (we will request that our data are permanently deleted from their system and we suggest that you do the sam

The hotel is located in the downtown area right next to the beach, so the location is excellent. The check-in starts at 3 PM, just like another hotel; however, there is no warm service, and the room booked from trip.com has been arranged on the lower floor. The results were noisy on the lower floor because we reserved an ocean view, and the hotel swimming pool is just below the balcony. So we asked to change the room to a higher floor after several negotiations with the receptionist and added additional costs. There are no highlights about the hotel facility and average five-star rating. We swim more by the swimming pool than at the beach because the seawater quality is not that good. For the morning breakfast, there are many options, but nothing outstanding. Overall, it's a good hotel.

Place is beautiful and spacious. Staff is extremely nice as well - they know what they are doing. When I came it was just renovated, so not that busy yet. Because there were still private rooms available some of us got a free upgrade. Free breakfast is included and really nice as well. Would definitely recommend. If this place is getting busier during the high season this hostel is gonna be insanely good.

Overall this was a good stay, but I'm going to likely try someplace else when returning to Phu Quoc, mostly to find a better match for the vibe I like out of a beach resort. Staff was pleasant, but not overly memorable. The resort is a lot bigger than I thought and most of the clientele that I saw were couples and families. I had a beachfront bungalow that was very nicely furnished with a king sized four poster bed, a huge bathroom and an outdoor balcony overlooking the beach. You can hear the waves at night once the very loud EDM/hip hop coming from two directions cuts out around 3 am. I took a 'can't beat em, join em' mentality one night and strolled over to the loud beach bar next door at night to realize that all the loud music was playing for exactly six people who were all yelling to hear one another over the music and not even on the dancefloor. Breakfast in the mornings was good, there's a friendly little mouse that comes by to lap up the crumbs as you eat if you dine alfresco. If you're turned off by rodents, Phu Quoc might but be the best place for you fyi. The bar at the hotel was very small with about 10 stools, but the guys that worked there were nice and the vibe was pretty chill.

This hotel is beautiful, right on the beach, great layout with lots of space around the pool. I never struggled to find a spot. Having a better understanding of the geography, it’s important to note that this hotel is a little out of the main town so it’s a little bit more secluded. Staff were very nice. My only issue was at breakfast, as no one comes to greet you or assist you in finding a table, it can be a bit chaotic.

I used a 3-bedroom villa and the facilities were clean and nice. However, all electricity was not working in the first room, so I called an engineer and it did not work, so I asked to change rooms. It took about 2 hours to change the room... I checked in at 2:30, but I actually unpacked and rested around 6:00. However, they tried to accommodate our convenience as much as possible (they changed us to a larger accommodation and gave us fruit as an apology), but we did not feel any major inconveniences in the new accommodation, and we were satisfied with both the breakfast and the swimming pool, so we intend to visit again.

On the western coast of Phu Quoc, our Amalfi Coast-inspired hotel overlooks a private beach with excellent sunset views. We’re a five-minute walk from Phu Quoc Cable Car and Hon Thom Departure Terminal. Dozens of cafes, restaurants, and attractions are within three kilometers, and we offer two pools and four restaurants and lounges on site.

The hotel is located in Sun Set Town, an Italien inspired small town with historical sights. Its beautiful but still quite empty, sure there is some smaller Hotels and Restaurants and some small grocery Shops. Near the water there is a Food Bazaar with Stalls and a lot of Food an Drinks offers but its just Open from 16 o clock, the Highlight of the town was besides the beautiful architecture the daily firework (expcect tuesday) The Hotel has a beautiful big Pool facing the sea and also Access to the Beach via some stairs. As it just opened it was not busy. As Hilton Diamond Member we got a free Canapé with two Drinks in the Evening and a Lovely suite upgrade with sea view. For the fireworks you can also Access the roof top terrace for a better view. During check in it took that someone came and Helped us with our luggages. Also there was some confusion about which is our luggages when they brought it to our room. This process should somehow be Improved especially when the Hotel gets busy. The Cabana Area should be a separated more from the public availilable Stairs as there is often people taking pictures of the Pool and also of you if you are next to this Area. Also near this Area with the cabanas they should also install a ladder to enter the pool as you need to walk around half of the pool to get into the water. The breakfast is fabulous and offers great variety and also great quality. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot especially the pool is a highlight. We will surely return one day to this beautiful hotel and location.

GGuest UserThis resort is modern and luxury with pleasing architecture and garden landscaping. The only downside is that the beach eroded badly and dangerous to walk on (the resort closed the beach area). You can only enjoy watching the sunset from the bar and pool area. Hope the resort could work on this issue. The resort without the beach is definitely 5 star. But i have to give 4 star just because the beachfront erosion issue (as beach is an attraction for choosing a luxury stay). The room has everything. The bed also great and of quality, the sleep definitely not affected. The resort is close to the airport less than 15mins to reach airport. It also has a sourvenir shop, children area and some other amenities inside that makes it all-in-one resort. The staffs and service are also perfect. Suggestion: Hope the resort could seal the door from outside noise. Could hear people talking outside. Another, if erosion is too bad, then resort at least build the sea front deck as a new attraction instead of beach, so that guest still can enjoy the ocean, breeze and sea front and its 5 stars hotel will not impacted. Also, please ensure the foods are handled with care in the kitchen, as there was hair in my soup.

TThomasVery chill experience with a very extensive breakfast. Loved the big swimming pool and proximity to the beach. The gym is ac-cool and has quite some machines, also includes a daily class, towels and cooled water There was not that much near the resort, most of the buildings around it are empty, a bit like a ghost town, requiring a cab or motorcycle for almost every trip. Downsides: - no vegan options for lunch or dinner - very expensive drinks at the bar - every warm dish during breakfast either has meat or fish in it, imo very big mismatch with the resort saying everywhere that it is sustainable - the included airport drop off is only useable within certain times, which is stated no where. Our plane left early and they could not do anything for us. Requiring an expensive taxi - the vegetarian breakfastbox only contained fruit and dry bread with butter (didn't feel 5 star resort)

BBenjamin Sch.The Hotel was beautiful and the garden very nice. The whole hotel area was very clean and has direct beach access, you can get towels at the pool and beach. The access to the water is suitable for children. The staff is fast and friendly in most cases but the food service at the pool was sometimes slow and quite pricy compared to the outside places. The rooms were comfortable and well functioning, the bathroom was in very good condition. The location is good, but outside of the Phu Quoc it’s. However, there is a small night market with many open restaurants is in walking distance. Along the beach you can find a nice walk way and the hotel also offers bike rentals among other sport activities. We would go there again. To other locations for snorkeling or so, you can take a taxi and get everywhere in 40-60 minutes.

BBokTilla~The Hotel overall is really great. The room was nice and spacious, however they didn’t clean our room properly everyday. When they came to clean, they only made the bed, didn’t change the sheets and didn’t sweep the floor. They forgot to replace the towels. They took the old towels , but didn’t leave clean ones. We has to ask for sheet changing after the 3rd day and for them to sweep and mop. Because it got sandy of all the sea sand. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly overall in the breakfast hall. I just feel for this time of year (During TET holiday) the hotel was VERY BUSY and under staffed. So therefore the overall experience could have been better if they had more staff during this time. The pool and private beach was really nice and we enjoyed that very much.

GGuest UserAfter being stuck at home for the past 3 years and watching replays of Getaway, we finally got out of Australia and arrived in Phu Quoc. Stepping out of the taxi we were warmly greeted by the concierge staff with the traditional 'Xin Chao' as they escorted us into the beautiful Movenpick Resort foyer. Immediately my wife and I felt relaxed. This was what we had missed during COVID, escaping our busy lives and enjoying such beautiful resorts. Check-in was seamless and we were in our room in no time. I had an issue with our room and spoke to Linh at reception who was so nice and professional, and quickly resolved the situation. And in a flash we were by gorgeous pool and enjoying tropical cocktails. We spent the next 3 days laying around the pool, in the sun loungers looking out into the ocean, taking naps in the hammocks between the palm trees and enjoying the ocean breeze as we watched the sunsets. The Spa was amazing and one of the best we've experienced. The pre-spa sauna, stream room and spa baths was sooo relaxing. Breakfast was a feast to the eyes with delicious authentic Vietnamese food and a great international selection. The afternoons were spent devouring all sorts of enticing desserts during Chocolate Hour (and all for free, what a bonus!) We loved spending our evenings at Aura Beach Club as Vu was so helpful and attentive. He even got the whole team to sing Happy Birthday to me which was such a pleasant surprise. When we returned to our room, Linh and the reception team had organised a birthday cake and some gifts from the Resort. So sweet! It's things like this that make our holidays even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc and the wonderful staff that made it so special. We will be back! and will bring all our families and friends :)

GGuest UserBeing totally beach people , I and my husband like to visit many islands and beach places . After Maldives ,Thailand ,Malaysia ,Andaman ,Sri Lanka , Goa and Kerala we ended up in Phu quock Vietnam . We did last minute bookings and hadn’t researched much about where to stay etc but luckily we stumbled upon this hotel . The room had such an amazing view of the ocean , that we didn’t feel like going out to do any activities for an entire day . You can just sit and relax in the room and watch the sunset while rolling in your bed . And the Bath tub experience was just amazing too with such a great view and effective bathing salts and sipping away on cooling drinks . We could feel paecful from within If you want to unwind and just take a break from your busy life it’s perfect The hotel is also located in the main area of the island from where all the day activity pick ups happen . Very close to the night market walkable distance . It’s equidistant from the north and south of the island where you may like to visit . The staff were very friendly and ready to help in any way be it booking our diving tour , arranging for a bike ,money exchange or arranging for pure veg food which isn’t easily available in Vietnam . Only draw back would be that it doesn’t have direct access to a Sandy beach but the views more than compensate for this But long beach is very close by . All in all a very good experience

GGuest UserExcellent service, convenient location, and extremely helpful staff. I'm in utter love with this place. The décor of the brand-new room was sophisticated and elegant. The hotel employees provided excellent service, which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Leila, in particular, was kind and thoughtful in setting everything up for us, and she always comes with a big, genuine smile, which makes us even happier. She went above and above to make my stay as enjoyable as possible by planning my routes to visit various locations on my own, explaining in detail how to get there, and reserving my ticket to the airport. We want to express our gratitude for making our experience spectacular and incredibly memorable. Overall experience can be expressed in 3 syllables Fa Bu Lous, can’t wait to go back.

TTonyctca1We are here now and I have read some of the poor reviews. I don't understand them. Rooms are great, pool is clean, tiled and grouped. Staff are so helpfull and friendly. Rooms are cleaned every day, bathrooms clean and showers are top notch compared to some we have stayed in to get here. Absolute value for money with picturesque views and all amenities you could need. The walk to the main street is a bit of a walk but not a hike. Take my word for it and don't take any notice of the bad reviews. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY. Only comment is breakfast could be a bit better, but not worth not booking because of it.
