WARNING, your belongings may get stolen during your stay here! Came here right after the wedding. Had an absolutely gorgeous honeymoon in this hotel. Weather was bleak, and we did’t drink, but the holiday was still absolutely great. Just an amazing hotel all round, had a great time there, definitely best in Phu Quoc, even took their catamaran trip one morning. The downside is that somebody, probably a hotel staff, stole my wife’s 500usd sandals from our room. After chatting with the hotel management and telling then that we couldn’t left them anywhere but in the hotel room, hotel customer service just told us that they haven’t found them, and that is it. Wife was really fond of the shoes, so it finalised our perfect holiday with this blemish. Shame that hotel with such high standards and costs of more than 1,000 usd per room at the time of our booking, has such a poor security measures. So, BEWARE, if you stay here, put everything even remotely valuable into the safe box, shoes included.

Luxurious yet elegant decors, extremely personable and friendly staffs, awesome breakfast and restaurant options, upscale amenities with complimentary mini bar snacks and drinks that replenishes every day. Nice property with good proximity to airport, Duong Dong and Sunset town. Feels exclusive and well spaced out, several pools and well sized private beach areas to chill out besides the nice rooms. Service was good as well, meals above average across the restaurants. More attention to the smaller details would make this a 5/5 to me - e.g. a drying rack for the villa pool towels, door stopper for villas with double rooms during room service, bit more variety during breakfast across multiple days, etc.

Hotel hardware and infrastructure and location all very good but service level not up to that level unfortunately, with quite many logistic faults or carelessnesses but overall it is still enjoyable.

Positioned as one of the more luxurious offerings on the island, the Regent is a good mix of luxury and fun having many daily complimentary activities to add to the many facilities that they already have. The afternoon cruise (which is an add on) was well staffed and the service team made the experience particularly enjoyable (from paddle boarding to fishing). While the beach was very clean, this is shared between the other IHG properties like the intercontinental next door making this feel less exclusive for the price tag of the hotel. Overall a great experience but the upcoming Park Hyatt will be an interesting alternative for guests looking to spend within the same price range.
