Kuch Oudom Hotel

Doun Penh Phnom Penh|0.2km from The L Bar
We are traveling long term so we are on a very tight budget and rely heavily on the places we stay for help on transportation, etc. We booked through Kuch Oudom hotel because of their good ratings on booking.com and we wanted a nice room to get some work done for a few days. The location is not great. It’s a good bit north of the main attractions and walking in the city is not ideal with the lack of side walks and heat. This leaves you with taking a tuk tuk which while cheap, the traffic is bad so it takes a while to get anywhere in the city. The room was fine.. the AC took a while to cool down and never got that cool even when set as low as it could go. ****The above I can get over, but the reason for the negative review.. The day we left, we booked 2 bus tickets to Kampot with the hotel. They told us we were being book on the Mekong express bus, it included pick up and cost $12 USD a piece. We had done research on this company, knew it was a reputable one, the price was in line with what is should cost so we felt good about booking with them. We got picked up at our hotel and ended up being taken to a Vibol bus. This was a much lower class bus, barely any AC, they pack people in like sardines, it’s old and dirty. But the worst part, these tickets should be $6 usd a piece. Kuch Oudom charged us double, selling us on a different bus and then pocketing the difference. I realize we are talking the difference of $12 but we have never been scammed by a hotel before and we feel extremely taken advantage of. I am not one to normally write negative reviews but this kind of dishonest behavior deserves to be shared. I would steer clear of this place. We have been traveling in SE Asia for a few months now and have booked countless buses through our hotels and guest houses and have never had this kind of dishonest service and experience. Even aside from this, I am sure there are better options in Phnom Penh with comparable rooms but a better location and more honest staff.

The food in the Chinese restaurant is also very good. There is a girl named Wang who is very warm and generous. The return flight is At six o'clock in the afternoon, he enthusiastically took the initiative to help me with a late check-out. I will definitely stay at Rosewood next time I go to Phnom Penh.

It is magnificent and worth staying, especially the room with a view of the Mekong River, the city river, and the panoramic view of Phnom Penh. The steakhouse on the 38th floor is great. The chocolate flavor of the Wagyu beef really leaves an impression. Watching the sunset at the sky bar on the 37th floor is a pleasure and the service is very good. The room is large, comfortable and full of high-tech content. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but it is exquisite. The free tuk-tuk service provided by the hotel is the best. The hotel's service is impeccable in every aspect.

It is a room for the boss to book a business trip. I received a call from the boss late at night and said that the front desk of the hotel could not find their reservation order. They said that they only knew the agent reservation. They did not have Ctrip's contact information. Fortunately, Ctrip finally solved it in time.

The hotel is close to the US embassy. The environment is good. The rooms are one-bedroom and one-room with kitchen. There are actually two Starbucks near the hotel. It is the first time that I have seen two Starbucks within 200 meters, which is great for Phnom Penh!
