Hotels near Olympic Market in Phnom Penh

Arriving in this elegant hotel was a relief from the coach ride. After receiving room numbers and swipes our luggage was scattered to the four winds. Those of us who didn’t have names to our luggage were lost in translation and after waiting 45 minutes took action myself. Concierge had communicated that all luggage would be left somewhere for those of us to claim. They were left on 13th floor. Anyway running up 5 flights as lift a bit slow due to 60 plus of us arriving finally retrieved our luggage. Hotel room much more spacious, modern and new. Communication by staff poor understanding of English and the eagerness to please over rides anything else. Catering for large groups not their forte even though they knew previously as bookings were made months in advance. Not enough staff on the floor to manage the numbers and expectations were high from previous hotel in Siem Reap. Room service first night took up to 2 hours to receive as one chef on. By rights I was taught anything over 20 minutes food is compensated/free. In the heart of CBD, AC in room only, rooftop bar n swimming pool, adequate wifi (was able to watch Netflix on iPad) other than that I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Room for improvement on hospitality in catering for foreigners.

This is my third time staying here. As before it is a great hotel, particularly for the price. Staff are super attentive and friendly. A tuk tuk from the airport is around $3.50. A quick thumbs up for the hotel restaurant which has exceptional food and is reasonably priced. The Cordon Bleu in my pic is $4.....water for $0.50, Beer for $0.75 etc. Will stay here again whenever I am in PP.

Has the following advantages: 1. Excellent geographical location. Surrounded by small streets, various small and medium restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets, you can feel the local style well. b. Because it is not on the main road, there is no car roar at night, and the rest is excellent. c. Turn left for more than one kilometer to get to Usia Market and various stalls. When you go out and turn right, you will find Mao Zedong Avenue, which is also prosperous. 2, the room design is reasonable, black and white yellowish tone, simple and generous. I live in this room with a lot of gable windows. It is good to look out of the window at night in the bed. This is the third floor. The upper floors should have a better view. 3. Breakfast is on the top floor. The variety is rich and healthy. Currently I have lived for five days. Basically, I change some dishes every day. The front desk has a high level of Chinese, and the absence of Chinese is English, which is basically smooth. Overall very good, very cost-effective hotel, recommended! The same price in many places in China cannot reach this level. A little suggestion: The elevator seems to be a bit inflexible. Sometimes it takes two or three times to open the door. It is recommended to repair it.

This lodging facility is tentatively called a hotel, but please don't be misled by the name and stay as a homely guesthouse. Even though it is a guest house, you can clean it if you ask. However, when the staff is busy, you can do it yourself. For the time being, breakfast is included, but it can only be eaten after 8 o'clock, and the amount is small, so we recommend eating out or buying it.

Upon reaching the hotel, I was not pleased with the outside and the lobby was not what I had been hoping for. However, after I took the lift to my floor and stepped out, I was pleasantly surprised. It was very well renovated and the room was surprisingly clean and felt like it was more than what I had paid for. Definitely value for money. The breakfast was decent but of course not as same as those lavished 5 stars international hotels For the price that I have paid, I have nothing to complain about. The staffs could speak English and Mandarin so that made the communication much easier. Distance to the airport is about 10km. I will stay there again if I need to visit Cambodia next time.

This is a cheap option for accommodation with an average breakfast(buffet) . The price is adequate to what you pay for. The hotel has a good location close to the S21 museum (about 7 minutes walk). About 30 minutes walk to the central market or the royal palace. lWeak WiFi. Helpful staff in the lobby. Inexpensive meals in the restaurant.

This was my 2nd time stayed here, but wasn't too impressed as my first. Got smaller room without balcony. The bed was fine, and the room was clean. The aircon works perfectly, and the room lighting was properly light. The bathroom didn't has separation, so it was whole wet. But the hot water runs great. The property is 1Km away from Danh Danh Bus to Ho Chi Minh, so it's in a walking distance. Its is also only USD1-2 TukTuk away to main attractions in Phnom Penh, also close to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. No breakfast were provided, but you can ask for hot water to make your cup noodle. Easy check-in/out. With the price I've paid, this hotel I would recommend you for those who wants to travel in budget with comfort.

An unfortunate experience, I found myself in the worst situation dealing with M Residence, as on the day of my check-in, the Sale Manager Vincent neglected to inform the receptionist about my booking, and instead of booking online for a fair rate, they wanted to charge me 50 USD per night, when it was only 24 USD online. Because the receptionist was new and unfamiliar with the process, she had to validate each step with her manager. It took me 45 minutes to check-in. The whole thing felt sketchy because I had to pay 130 USD with tax instead of 72 USD online with Airbnb small tax it would have cost max 86 USD if I recall. Anyway, I paid and received a very small room with hardly working air conditioning and filthy elevator. The swimming pool was breaking apart, and it appeared that the structure was inadequately maintained. There was no pool attendant, and no PH and CL analysis of the chemicals in the pool was available. The entire establishment is a shambles, and they definitely lack hospitality skills. Anyway I shared some information about my experience with the Manager who told me “The staff are so bad” I wanted to react and tell him that he should invest in training them but I could see there was no point in telling him has he clearly do not hold any sense of hospitality skills… The day before my departure I contact the “Receptionist Supervisor” and asked if I should do my check out now to collect my deposit back as I leave at 5:50 am and she informed to not to worry there is 24/7 staff at the lobby. Of course, the day of my check out there was no staff at the lobby to proceed my check-out so now they are ghosting me over 30 USD refund. In addition to all of this I intended to do a collaboration with the Sales manager upon my arrival a discount or free stay over some pictures which they gladly receive but never gave me proper feedback nor a compensation. M Residence is a disgrace to the hospitality industry in Cambodia. Their unethical practices and scams are not the way to conduct business.

The front desk service attitude is good. The enthusiastic, thoughtful and meticulous service makes everyone satisfied. The hotel environment is clean, clean, comfortable and breathable. The rooms are also very good, suitable in size, clean, tidy and comfortable. It is the most ideal choice for business trips and tourism. It is also suitable to recommend to other friends.
