Hotel Rivijera

On the plus side the staff were great, but after that it’s not a 4 star by any stretch of the imagination. Hotel is very dated. The pool was not clean, and I did not see anyone use it . The gardens are full of large trees which make it dark and the sap makes the chairs and tables sticky. It also attracts lots of bitey flies and we got really bitten every day. The hotel is overlooked by two unfinished hotels , which is awful. There was a tureen collecting water from a pipe in the dining room. The breakfast is okay, but the dinners were awful. The food was always cold, nothing choice and they don’t even serve drinks with dinner, only a glass of water when you ask for it. The view from our room was a pile of rubbish!

So, my husband and I are currently staying here. We arrived on Fridsy 27th September. On arrival ot appeared that they was no booking under our name. After some time, the receptionist found us a room. The room itself is spacious, and on first glance clean and acceptable. However... the room is very tired no door on the shower, cold water! Carpets are worn. On to the food.. I'm not that fussy having travelled extensively world wide, but it really is worse than school dinners, cold food, meat like leather, no hot drinks or water at dinner time. Breakfast is the same, the coffee machine spits out something that resembles coffee! The table cloths are mouldy, and there are hose pipes and buckets in the dining room plus huge cobwebs everywhere! Today I asked at reception if there was a bus to nearby Sventi Stefan, reluctantly she went in her phone to find out. Such a disappointment as the area of Petrovac is lovely. The hotel needs a ton of investment and the staff some customer service training. We have decided to move on tomorrow , and have booked elsewhere for the remainder of our holiday. I will be contacting my holiday provider on my return. There would be more photos but I'll leave that for you to decide.

The only good thing about this holiday was the location—it made it easy to escape this disastrous hotel. Other than that, Petrovac itself is amazing. Unfortunately, the hotel experience was a nightmare. The staff were unprofessional, the owner was rude and dismissive, and our room was dirty and reeked of cigarettes. Not to mention, we found cigarette ashes on the balcony floor, and the plug sockets were hanging on by a thread of cables, making the place feel more like a safety hazard than a 4-star hotel. The food was a complete disaster—every meal felt more like a punishment than nourishment. Imagine stale bread, vegetables so sad even a rabbit would turn them down, and dry old meat that had seen better days. NOTHING WAS FRESH; everything was drowned in vinegar as if that could magically keep it edible. Each meal was a challenge, not to mention a constant source of dread.My daughter had to discreetly spit out bites because it was that bad. We asked for water, and they had the nerve to charge us 4 Euros! We flat-out refused to pay since we had supposedly paid for the "full board experience"—whatever that means in this place. The so-called "garden view" was just a view of another hotel with overgrown trees, old sunbeds and a view of a very tall abandoned building. The "private beach" advertised was non-existent—we had to pay £25 just to sit by a nearby beach with a sunbed. If you're visiting Petrovac, my advice is to enjoy the beautiful location but stay far away from this hotel.

I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but this holiday was a special mum n girls trip that we were so looking forward to, and we were quite disappointed. We arrived via private taxi ride and dropped in a garage area of an abandoned hotel,so first impressions not good.On arriving the receptionist was too busy on her mobile with a personal call cackling and chatting to check us in.Another member of staff had to step in to ask her to attend to us.She couldn't find our booking at first but thank goodness it turned up! Ended up with an upgrade..or that's what we were told.Bedroom was ok, little old fashioned but appeared clean and spacious. Balcony overlooking trees which meant no view or sun.First evening meal a disappointment.Buffet style with dry meats, watery mashed potato and cold veg.no vegetarian option.Slow service with waiter to get drinks.Desserts not much better.We stayed 4 days and ate out 2 of 3.Breakfast a little better with options of eggs,bacon,toast etc.No fresh juice.just cordial.Rooms were never cleaned once over our 4 day stay .Although on day of check out the maid knocked at door at 9 to tell us to get ready to leave..check out was 10.Position of hotel was ok.Near to seafront down a path.Grounds were looking neglected, pool full of leaves,garden furniture piled up.Really looked like they couldn't wait to finish the season and they still had 3 weeks to go.Staff not very helpful.Wouldn't recommend and won't be going back.

Do not go this hotel if you have just a little bit of standard and cleanliness in you. The pictures of the hotel is deceptive. It’s a very old hotel that is not maintained well at all. The pool was a very sad sight and it feels like if you ever get in it, you could contact skin infection. The reception area/lobby was nice enough but that’s where it ends. Once you step into the elevator, you fear for your life as it doesn’t seem solid. Getting into our room (which was supposed to be an upgrade), I would have rather stayed back in my house. Very dirty. We saw a bug on our bed. A killed bug on the wall. More killed bugs around the room. Toilet looked like something from the 1920s and wasn’t clean. We checked out 2 hours after checking in and booked another hotel in Budva. If it cost me 2k Pound Sterling to book another hotel, I would have (thankfully it didn’t). That’s how bad I couldn’t stay there for even 1 more hour. Really pathetic

The Hotel was terrible. The pictures being advertised are not what the hotel looks like. It’s dirty and the swimming pool area as well as the garden area are In terrible state , the food was a joke ended buying food in restaurants , no housekeeping was done for the whole 8 days we stayed , staff not friendly it was a horrible experience
