This is an older property, but it is well maintained. The staff is very accommodating and courteous. The hotel is very clean, all areas of it. The rooms are large, roomy, and clean, especially the bathrooms.
One of the most important comments we can make about this property is that it is very close, and we mean close, to all major museums and attractions, walking distance.
My wife and I travel to Brazil at least twice per year, and we decided that in our March trip, we will come back to Petropolis, and without a doubt we will be staying again in this hotel.

Good hotel, breakfast and accommodation. The receptionist's service left something to be desired. It also took a while to replace the breakfast items, but I understand that the room was full.

Very good hotel, in the center, close to tourist attractions. Great cleanliness and comfort. Only the breakfast was chaotic and the replacement was slow. Guests were constantly reporting that an item was missing. Staff did not anticipate.

The biggest problem is the musty smell in the rooms, I believe because it is old. We had a problem with the key, but the reception staff responded promptly.

There was a problem at check-in, they sent me to a room and when I arrived the entire hallway was chaos, all the rooms were open and messy, even dirty. I informed them and they asked us to wait in the corridor, even after 15 minutes the attendant arrived and took us to a room in the same category as ours, but it had an unbearable musty smell. The mattress stank of mold. Terrible breakfast. Just salt bread and sliced bread. Stale, hard cakes, with no alternative options.
The service was so bad that the next day I asked them to leave the room window open to ventilate and eliminate the smell a little. I arrived, the room was completely closed and the smell was unbearable.
In short, terrible hotel, terrible staff, terrible breakfast, in addition to not having anything, what was there was terrible.

The location of the hotel is excellent, in the city center. It is possible to visit the main tourist attractions on foot. The hotel is very close to Rua Teresa and the city's new shopping mall, Pátio Petrópolis. The room is large and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is excellent. Cleaning was very well done. The hotel is good, I've stayed there other times, and this time it was very empty, so the breakfast was reasonable, which I partly understand, because with a variety of options, there wouldn't be enough guests to eat. One suggestion would be, in cases where the hotel is empty, to offer coffee in the room, the guest would choose what they wanted and it would be served in the room, avoiding loss and waste.
