We were contacted the day of our arrival and informed how to pick up our keys to the room. When I booked, I did not realize there would be so many stairs to climb to the second story where the rooms where located. I have knee issues and found navigating the stairs difficult. Even though we were travelling with only small carry on suitcases, we only took what was required for an overnight stay in our backpacks. I found our room to be on the small side with limited electrical outlets. My husband has a CPAP machine and we had to move the bed to be able to plug in his machine. An extension cord would have been helpful. Our rate only included the night stay, although a discount was offered if we ate breakfast at the ground floor cafe. There was a small kitchenette on a landing at the foot of the stairs on the upper floor, with a communal fridge and small table. Our sleep was comfortable. Overall, I found the experience of staying here very impersonal. We never met the proprietors and when we went to the cafe the next morning for breakfast, we stood by the door for some time without anyone acknowledging or welcoming us. I understood that they were busy, but a brief hello would have been sufficient. We departed seeking breakfast elsewhere. Overall, a very impersonal, not very welcoming experience.
