Spent 18 days in Australia; as far as lodging goes the two at Kings Creek Station are the most memorable! In a cabin at Mort Conway camp, we felt "alone" in the Outback. Silence broken only by the birds. Darkness of the night sky completely enveloping us, the stars jumped right out of the heavens. Food was great! Met some interesting fellow travellers. Highly recommend for a unique Outback experience!

We enjoyed 2 nights in the caravan park, lovely spacious sites with well kept amenities. The cafe has great coffee and meals and it was awesome to be able to take a couple of days off from cooking. The absolute highlight of our stay was the sunset buggy tour of the property It was informative and there are some beautiful sites along the way finishing with champagne and canapés watching the magical sunset. We will definitely come back again. Great place and friendly, welcoming staff.

We stayed in the glamping tents, overlooking the rocky escarpment. The location was perfect, with a fire pit and open air bbq kitchen. Sunset was magical, and we enjoyed sitting on the verandah and marvelling at the changing colours. The bed was fairly comfortable and there was great water pressure in the shower. The self catered dinner ingredients were tasty, except the barramundi had no skin, so dried out on the bbq. Overnight, there were wild gusty winds and the tent made lots of noises. Breakfast at the station was not great. I would suggest paying for breakfast at the cafe.

Easy camping in a relaxed environment. We spent 3 nights here and used it as a base to do the walks in Kings Canyon. We got to see a beautiful sunset and experienced rain in the desert. Dinner at the cafe on the wet night was a great solution Facilities include nice hot showers Power and bore water available as well as plenty of rubbish bins

We stayed in the Drover's Dream glamping accommodation and thought it was good value for the remote location. Beautiful outlook over the escarpment! Stunning sunset. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine next to the firepit before a delicious BBQ dinner. Check-in and out were easy with the lovely Nalyn. Everything was provided. We wished that we'd had longer and will return.

We loved our stay there. Even though it was just for a night it was quite pleasant and relaxing. The amenities were more than enough for anything we needed while camping. It was low season so our experience was really great, quiet, beautiful sunset and plenty of space to pitch our tents. Also, all staff we came to meet during our short stay were very friendly!

The Drover’s Dream accommodation was outstanding: comfortable, very private, ( even with a couple in the next tent) beautiful views, great outdoor kitchen and deck, fire-pit under the stars was fabulous. Cafe and store also have terrific food and easy access. For us so much more relaxing than the KC resort up the road (where we also stayed for a night). We would love to stay again!!

The powered sites are huge , plenty of room plus you can have a fire. They have Unleaded and Diesel, a shop and a great chef to keep your belly in check, Alcohol can also be purchased here. The ammenities are large , hot water and 3 hooks to hang your clothing and towel, plus there is a large pool undercover. The Dingo's at night really added to the whole outback feel, I did check out the Discovery Park at Kings Canyon but much prefer Kings Creek, you will park on sand not gravel. I'll definitely add the campground to m Bucket List

ACCOMODATION (DREAMTIME ESCARPMENT): My husband and I stayed at the Dreamtime Escarpment and it was sublime. Honestly one of the best experiences we have had and a very unique stay. We stayed 2 nights, the first night no one else was there and it was very exclusive. In the photos I thought it was more secluded from other tents (there are 4 Dreamtime Escarpment tents), but the distance between the others was great. The food provided was to die for and the drinks selection was diverse. 2. ACCOMODATION (BUSH TENT): I booked the rest of our family (10 people) into the bush tents. It was hot when we arrived (over 35 degrees), and the day we walked Kings Canyon it was over 40 degrees. There was no warning before we got there that the pool within Kings Creek was out of operation. While this did not effect my husband and I who stayed in the Dreamtime Escarpment, this was a very big blow to the rest of our guests. I enquired what was wrong with the pool and the only answer we got from reception was a very short 'the PH isn't right, maybe next week. Bad timing'. No sorry, no apology, no offer of a partial refund. I had already asked previously if our group could come to the Dreamtime Escarpment tent for a BBQ and was clearly told 'no'. I understand why, but children and 40+ degrees in poorly airconditioned canvas tents do not mix. There needs to be another pool or water option to cool down. Especially after reading other reviews when we got there that the pool has been out of action for a long while. We know these issues may be out of the control of the operator, but no notice even at check-in or prior was provided which was a significant disappointment (the first you find out about the closure is when you go to the pool and see the sign). One of the communal fridges didn't work and the food spoiled, the air conditioners in the bush tents could barely keep up with the demand and a number of our group got heat stroke. The women's showers at the bush tents have mold but the men's facilities are newly redone. CAFE: The Cafe at Kings Creek is amazing. The food came out faster than McDonalds and was of great quality. I highly recommend even dropping into the cafe on the way through if you're in the area. STAFF: The staff at reception have 0 cheer. They're not happy to see guests, they will not go along with your jokes or attempts to make their day a little better. Completely different feel to the staff in the cafe who were all fantastic and jovial. In addition, the reception staff were not very good at giving answers to simple questions. If you need to enquire about anything, don't bother. The answer I can guarantee will be no.
