Fantastic team, rooms spotless, beer cold, breakfast hot. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks to the team for being so friendly and helpful, local area is beautiful and accessible, but if your exploring I would recommend hiring a car, the parking is safe and there is an electric charge point if needed. Overall, excellent, can’t wait to return.

Friendly staff and excellent cooked breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Easy check in and check out. The room could do with a lick of paint. The lights and fridge made a buzzing noise.

Lovely staff
Establishment was clean with friendly, helpful staff.
Hospitality tray/ water not replenished for second night. Don't understand this policy as same room rate charged.
We decided to have a nightcap before 10pm to find bar closed.

Lovely good value hotel
Very nice hotel. Value for money. Delicious breakfast. Idris the owner is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome back. Ideal base for visiting family locally.

What an amazing place. Very friendly and attentive owners who made my stay a pleasure. Lovely clean well appointed room and a fantastic breakfast with better coffee than I’ve had in any hotel for a long time! If I need to stay around here again I will be back!

Returned from 2 day stay and really enjoyed the experience, a warm welcome, bright comfortable rooms and a great breakfast as well, worth a try, great place for visiting Durham and coastal areas, not forgetting lots of northern hospitality to be had.

Stayed at The Bell for an event. Staff at the guest house were lovely. Couldn’t do enough. Special shout out to Kim who was amazing. Grouting and shower in general needs attention but room was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Thanks for a lovely stay.
